The same company which the Trump administration is pushing Americans into giving all their data to, including biometric facial scans, to get their “Real ID,” is accused by human rights groups of helping the Egyptian military government crack down on its opponents and critics. The crackdowns include mass arrests, disappearances of political opponents, and torture The French private third-party vendor to governments, IDEMIA, already makes and runs the state driver’s license systems in the majority of US states. IDEMIA is the private, foreign contractor entrusted with the entire Real ID system.
If the Trump push to have all Americans get Real ID succeeds, this is who will have every bit of data on you about everything in your life, including medical, financial, Internet use, and transactions history. These will link to the giant AI data centers that Trump is so rapidly building out.

The group International Federation for Human Rights, in “Egypt, A Repression Made in France,” writes:
“A new report reveals today how the French State and several French companies have participated in the bloody Egyptian repression of the past five years by supplying Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s regime with military and surveillance equipment. By supplying Egyptian security services and law enforcement agencies with powerful digital tools, they have helped establish an Orwellian surveillance and control architecture that is being used to eradicate all forms of dissent and citizen action. In the face of this new scandal over French exports of arms and dual-use technology, our organisations seek the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry and an immediate end to these exports….
…some companies have sold to the security services technologies for individual surveillance (AMESYS/NEXA/AM Systems); mass interception (SUNERIS/ERCOM); personal data collection (IDEMIA)….. In so doing, they have all participated in the construction of a widespread surveillance and crowd control architecture aimed at preventing all dissent and social movement and leading to the arrest of tens of thousands of opponents and activists.

In July 2018, a group of international, French, and Egyptian NGOs published a report accusing several French companies of profiting from Egypt’s military crackdown on dissent. According to the report, these companies have “participated in the bloody Egyptian repression of the past five years by supplying Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s regime with military and surveillance equipment.” Dassault Aviation,Manurhin, MBDA, Naval Group, Safran, and Arquus (part of Volvo) have reportedly supplied Egypt with a range of military aircraft, warships, armoured vehicles, missles, drones, and ammunition production machines. Other companies including Airbus, Ercom, IDEMIA, and Thales have allegedly provided technology capable of implementing mass surveillance on an unprecedented scale…

Trump’s Digital Prison Advances: TSA to Demand That Travelers Without “Real ID” Submit to Biometric Facial Scans, Scans Discriminate Against Blacks
This travel season the Trump administration is putting the finishing touches on the digital prison, as elites who are desperate to assert control first force us into registering into a master database “Real ID,” then link it to a single digital currency which can be shut off at any time.
The TSA says it will charge anyone without “Real ID” $18 for the alternative path through airport security, and can still deny boarding if “biometrics” does not “establish” your identity.
Facial recognition biometrics are controversial, according to the ACLU, because they tend to misidentify people of color at higher rates than white people. The ACLU writes:
“…numerous studies have shown that face recognition technology misidentifies Black people and other people of color at higher rates than white people. To date, there have been at least seven wrongful arrests we know of in the United States due to police reliance on incorrect face recognition results — and those are just the known cases. In nearly every one of those instances, the person wrongfully arrested was Black.
TSA Federal Register notice November 20, 2025:
“SUMMARY:
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is launching a modernized alternative identity verification program for individuals who present at the TSA checkpoint without the required acceptable form of identification (AFOID), such as a REAL ID or passport. This modernized program provides an alternative that may allow these individuals to gain access to the sterile area of an airport if TSA is able to establish their identity. To address the government-incurred costs, individuals who choose to use TSA’s modernized alternative identity verification program will be required to pay an $18 fee. Participation in the modernized alternative identity verification program is optional and does not guarantee an individual will be granted access to the sterile area of an airport…
. If an individual chooses to use the program and submit the required information, TSA will use the individual’s biographic and/or biometric information to verify identity and match the individual to their Secure Flight watch list result. “
In other words the presumption is now that people whose salaries you pay can consider you a terrorist unless you can prove otherwise, by submitting to humiliating and degrading biometric facial and iris scans and hope you show up on the “Okay” list.
It is the first step in a total control system now in place in China where anyone who is not perceived to obey every random bureaucratic rule can be forced into homelessness and starvation.”
