Trump triples Cruz in Alabama: poll

The poll conducted by a Birmingham, Ala.-based firm, shows Trump with 36 percent support headed into the state’s March 1 primary, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) with 19 percent support and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 12 percent support.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson places fourth with 8 percent support, followed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 7 percent support.

The poll is consistent with two previous versions, conducted Jan. 25 and Feb. 11, that also showed Trump with 36 percent support.

Rubio’s support has increased by 7 points from January, while Cruz has dropped 5 points over the same span.
Cruz has often referred to the SEC primary as his "firewall" in the primary race.

Hasn't Trump always been strong in Alabama? He attracted massive crowds there early on in the race and has the support of one of their Senators IIRC.

Good. Now Trump needs to work on Texas with their 155 delegates where that fraud Ted Goldman Cruz is really playing up the us (Texans) vs them strategy.

As a Texan, I wouldn't mind seeing Cruz get embarrassed in Texas. I'd quite enjoy that, actually.

I'm torn, because I like the Texas Governor. Cruz's firewall should be the south, but the south isn't ready to see an hispanic President, let alone one that was a Canadian citizen until recently. Rubio will have the same problem, although Rubio's record is awful. Rubio is the recipient of taxpayer welfare for rich people, lol. He collects his salary and benefits; yet, does not show up for work.
