I support the foreign policy interests of my country because I love my country and my family and friends that live here.

I want them to have a home and to live their best lives.

It's called posturing. I'm not totally certain, but still view it as highly unlikely based on precident. Trump threatened North Korea with nukes, then became the first president to step foot in North Korea and signed a peace deal. Trump is the peace president and his huge Ego is desperate for a legacy of being viewed as such. Maduro might get forced out but Trump won't invade Venezuela or launch a bunch of land strikes to do it.

Every president that gets elected campaigns on peace.

For a brief amount of time the presidents campaigned on an aggressive foreign policy because the majority of the American population understood that you have to be aggressive to achieve peace.

So its the same message no matter who runs they just say it in a way that people will understand.

What they do differ on is sometimes is what method they use to achieve peace.

Im pretty certain that all options are on the table. American interests don't change no matter who is the president.

They all want to protect the homeland. Some presidents are just smarter than others.

Maybe he will...maybe he won't. I wouldn't have believed he would have struck Iran until he actually did. So the reason you think he won't lauch land strikes against Venezuela is what exactly? And don't think I didn't notice you hedging your bets by saying "a bunch of land strikes." How many land strikes does it have to be before it's "a bunch?"

The story is that it was a Guyana-flagged Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC).
It had covertly loaded 1.1 million barrels of oil in mid-November and was suspected of heading toward Cuba before being stopped offshore Venezuela.
U.S. officials stated the tanker had long been sanctioned for involvement in illicit oil shipping networks tied to Venezuela and Iran.
