Trump asked to green-light shift to Israeli manufacturing of US-paid bombs

Israel wants to stop using US monetary aid to buy US-manufactured bombs, so that it can use the US money

to build its own bombs in Israel, circumventing the ability of the US to stop sending bombs.

It is unclear whether or not Trump will allow this change. Some in the US may not want to lose "jobs", as the manufacturing

would shift to Israel, and Trump would lose a "bargaining chip" if Israel uses the aid money to in-house its munitions.
