Trump 2024

Why does he think the voting shenanigans won't happen again, especially to him?

Look, if it's him and Biden again, I'll toss my vote to Trump but it will be while holding my nose. No Democrat, with the exception of maybe Gabbard, will ever have my vote at this rate. In truth, if the GOP wants to sniff the White House again, they'll run DeSantis and let the chains off of him and tell him to go all in and go all for it, say what you want, we don't care.

The media won't care what DeSantis has to say either way. They'll spin everything so it doesn't really matter. The GOP, however, is always about 20 years too late in their strategies. They need to embrace chaos and bulldogs, which is what they fought the entire time against Trump. That came back to bite them, and we, the American people, big time.

Say what you will about Trump - that he was a pawn, that he's one of them, etc. I'm not sure I'd be able to disagree, but for whatever his part was, he did it well enough that they're still gunning for him and his supporters. The regime doesn't want the "deplorables" around. And whether he's the acting face for them or not, there's something about the Trump presidency that sure seems like it wasn't "supposed" to happen. The Deep State (Swamp) was exposed during his presidency. We know its there now without a doubt.

Edit: having said all of this, we've seen the presidency does a matter a little over these last several years. However, our time and efforts are better spent fighting local and state level fights more than anything else. Maximize the "power" at those levels instead of relying on D.C.

Well said +rep

All the more reason for DeSantis to stay as a state governor, I say. If he leaves mid-term and gets replaced by a weak GOP candidate, and a dem takes FL, there's gonna be a lot of folks pissed off.

No chance for the democrats in FL anymore. Registered republicans now outnumber registered democrats for the first time. The democrats only hold one statewide office in FL now, AG comissioner, and they might lose that. The republicans have both the house and senate, so they basically pass anything DeSantis wants passed. The lieutenant governor is a republican hispanic woman. I don't know a lot about her but she seems middle of the road.

"No chance for Dems" doesn't necessarily equal a good republican governor though. If DeSantis vacates the office to run for president and some RINO turd similar to Jeb Bush gets put in the gap, it might as well be a democrat that takes his place.

Imagine if Trump won. Who would serve in his cabinet? You would almost be guaranteed a 4am SWAT raid on your home, unending charges, and legal battles from our Soviet deep state, followed by Trump throwing you under the bus.

I would join his cabinet. But I also would subvert him at every move and play ball with the deep state, so I could become rich and powerful without very much effort
