Truckers

Have no idea if this is the right place and if not please move it or delete.

I decided to revisit a couple of trucker sites forums that I used to belong to and talked a bit about Ron Paul and the feedback has been amazingly positive so far. Truckers are for the most part pretty Conservative but very Independant minded.

I will stay on it and try to get more buzz going with them. We travel the country constantly and it would be good to get them on our side and get the word out that way.

I plan on revisiting the Military sites also soon and check them out. They are very important and can make and break any candidate.

I really believe we must all reach out to communities that we can relate to. I could never talk to truckers. lol

But I can talk to music heads, and other forum communities I visited frequently before this one. Everyone needs to do what they do best, that's the only real way we'll reach people on a personal and real level.

Another person here mentioned that truckers listened to the debates and felt that Giuliani was being pushed onto them, and that their favorites were Tancredo and Paul.

Truckers would be a good demographic to shoot for.

I agree. They are a great demographic to shoot for. Since I am a trucker also then I thought I should go feel them out. Glad I did. Never expected as much positive feedback as I did. The one thing us truckers do is we talk a lot and are opinionated and go all over this country spouting off what we believe in. One trucker in there even had added Ron Paul in 08 as his Sig.

Thank god we do have all kinds in here as I could never go get the Music heads and many other peoples.

Like I said before I was real into the Swifties (even met one of the backers that live near me) and other Veterans against Kerry and plan on feeling them out. I am apprehensive about them but they are Conservatives for the most part and usually always vote Republican.

For sure but they would be represented in their local polls at home. They will go back and spread the news and get others. They are very patriotic bunch for sure and when out and about just look at any truck and you will see they have their beliefs decaled or printed somewhere on the trucks. Ron Paul stuff going coast to coast would be nice for sure. I am hoping that some will get to the trucking shows on the radio and other forums and start a RP thing.

I did notice that most talked about being over taxed and that is the angle I am gonna go with them for now.

Tip: Never trust a man that colors his hair. It demonstrates a desire to impress you with superficial qualities while hiding the truth. In short, it says a lot about the person's character.

Heck, if the truckers were pissed off, they could literally shut the country down within hours. That's OK though because the royal family, um, I mean, UK would step in and restore order. After they've taken our weapons, that is. We would have a lot of pull with the truckers on the side of fairness and honor in government. Poor drivers are taxed to death as it is everytime they fill 'er up.

I am drilling the idea of how very, very important it is to vote in the primary. Dennis Miller was spot on when he pointed out that very few young people vote in the primaries.

Totally agree Angeltac. Elections are usually very low turnout but the primaries are even more so. Eventually there will have to be get out the vote efforts and in the meantime we will need to eduacate the importance of the primaries. Unless Ron Paul win the primaries then his prospects as our President is done.
