TRENDING: Ron Paul reissues claims on American foreign policy

The article is fair and factual. No problems there.

Honestly CBS's attempt at a hit interview backfired because Ron got fired up and fought back.

Why is it when people say they attacked us because we are free, people don't say that is 'blaming America'? Why is it only when someone says our policy contributed towards it? To say that they attacked us because of our liberties IS TO BLAME AMERICA, at least as much as it is to say foreign policy is.

which is why they cut Ron's time from the planned 20 minutes to 10 according to some....

We've seen this before. Ron says something that gets everybody's panties in a twist, then the media thinks they got him against the wall and they all ask him about it. He gradually clarifies the message and more people realize they have agreed with him all along. That interview will turn out to be a gift.

The comments are immense.

Seeing this types of responses day after day, it's hard not to believe that Ron Paul is truly the front runner and that something is seriously wrong with all of these polls.

Each day, as I see the response from actual human beings to RP, and not the media, I am more convinced that Ron Paul is going to be the next President of the USA...it is going to happen.

Coverage of this is different than coverage in the past. On Twitter, the headlines are noting that Ron says that our "policy" had "contributed" to 9/11. There isn't much negative connotation there.

If you run into any neocon comments copy and paste this answer to them.

Ron Paul was only reiterating exactly what comes from the CIA intelligence and what CIA veteran Michael Scheuer writes and speaks about. Scheuer would be Paul's choice for Secretary of State. Watch the video and ask yourself if you'd rather have Hillary Clinton at the helm or Michael Scheuer.

"Consistency is key for Paul."

I beg to differ. For example, he says he's pro-life, but would allow states to permit abortion. How do you explain that?

Bottom line for me, what disqualifies Paul from being POTUS is he wants to live in a dog-eat-dog world, his god is a self-centered, atheist who hated the poor, his isolationist views are naive, and he puts the pursuit of money ahead of everything else. Like most Libertarians, the only person who matters to him is the one he sees in the mirror. He's also too old.

And for the record, I was against invading Iraq and I think the military-industrial complex has taken over too much of our economy.

I do not think that they know the meaning of consistency..

@Greg: "The difference between Paul's anti-war beliefs and Obama's seems to be that only one is genuine."

President Obama campaigned on getting out of Iraq and increasing troops in Afghanistan – and he's done that. He voted for the $300 billion in funding after reviewing intelligence reports he was given as a Senator, so that our troops had what they needed.

If you're looking for inconsistencies, Ron Paul has plenty, including that claims to be a right-to-life candidate, but allows abortion on the state level. He says he's for free trade, but has opposed every free trade agreement. He claims to be a fiscal conservative, but has voted for his share of pork barrel projects and was against the Constitutional Amendment for a line item veto.

Do a little research before you move to make Paul into a saint.

Same person again.. Oh, dear.

we need to try this way of explaining this as well i tried it on my neocon girlfriend and it worked. "just like its policy makers fault that people will die thanks to obamacare, it is policy makers fault that people died thanks to our bad foreign policy and defense strategy". you get a shot at obama and you relate how policy affects you at home and abroad.

My pitch to wayward rank and file GOPers who have been brainwashed by the neoclowns is this:

I don't understand how the tea partiers can correctly blame entrenched politicians and bureaucrats for leading us to the brink of eocnomic diaster and yet fail to see it is these same politicians and bureacrats who have been running our foreign policy for decades. How is it they can be utterly incompetent at one and brilliant at the other?

"WOW, Paul just won my vote. I had no idea he was this intelligent and honest of a man; I knew he was consistent, but this is just amazing."

good stuff.
