Make sure all these people get voted out of office.

This is the action I have taken after alerting John Linder [GA-07]) that he should be more careful. This has been referred to the Homeland Security committee of the Senate (Chairman, Joe Lieberman) so I wrote my Senators to ask them to oppose it (Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isackson in Georgia). I recommend everyone write their senator and ask them to oppose it.

Dear Senator [Johnny] Isackson:

I am writing you to get you to oppose passage of Senate Bill 1959 which I believe to be an incremental assault on the First Amendment. It has already passed the house before I was made aware of it and seems to have been introduced as a non-controversial bill, masquerading as a tool to control fomenting terrorist rabble.

I would prefer the rabble to be heard rather than the steps to censure. We don't need muzzles in America, despite what may come out of their mouths.

Both the intent and the method of this bill should be clearly unconstitutional, but it is better not to rely on the courts to correct.

Let me know about your position on this and whether or not I can count on you to oppose it.​

This is indeed a thought crime bill, and it taxes every American over four years (a dollar). It even specifically mentions the Internet: `(3) The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens.
