Tracking Iowa Counties that have received Super Brochures

Last election cycle was very challenging for many of us. We donated money that we could not afford to part with. We spent time canvassing that strained our personal and professional lives. There were many hours spent on sign holding, engaging in meet up groups, rehearsing for caucus night, and other loosely organized efforts that allowed us to discover the wisdom that lies at the heart of Ron Paul's message of personal freedom.

All of those efforts are the reason we are able to overcome the status quo establishment this election. Now that organization is enhanced and the official campaign is more aggressively involved, our efforts resonant with the efforts of the grass roots members and the official campaign resulting in an effect MUCH larger than we could ever achieve on our own. We have created our own echo chamber promoting the principles which the founders of this country were willing to fight and die for.

If we can win Iowa there will be a significant change in the way we are treated and viewed by both the establishment media and independent voters. Rather than being dismissive due to ideology prejudice opponents of Dr. Paul will be forced to defend the merits of their proposals in opposition to the proposals of Dr. Paul. We are here because we know that based on merit Dr. Paul will win the hearts and minds of the American public.

Now is our time to push forward. Winning in Iowa is our opportunity to dismantle the blockade and be heard. Calling, mailing, and canvassing is how we will win Iowa. Mailing is the easiest of the three methods, it now only requires money since all of the other work has been accomplished. Americans were willing to lose blood more than once to protect our freedom. We have the opportunity to save it for only a few dollars.

Let us join together and finish this mailing list, we may never get another opportunity.

People have pointed out the large block of counties that Romney one along the eastern edge of the states. What separates that area from the rest of the state is that that area has a lot more Catholics while the rest of the state is predominantly Evangelical. Many Catholics are traditionally Democratic although most have started moving to the right as of late. I suggest we tailor our message for those eastern counties to focus more on foreign policy; they'll be much more receptive to Paul's anti-war views than other parts of the state. We need to hit the entire state, but those eastern counties should be treated slightly different than the much more traditionally conservative areas to the west.

Up to 20 counties completed now. Added Lyon Madison Taylor.

Polk, which has the most supervoters (39160) -- it includes the capital Des Moines, is actually almost done with 84% purchased!

Great point. And fortunately for us I think the super brochures do a nice job of highlighting Dr. P's anti-war credentials.

If we get all 295,000 of these sent to Iowa super voters and still lose, then it'll be sad and a horrible harbinger for America, but at least we'll know we did everything we could.

Ha! You beat me to it tonight. I am very pleased with the coverage Polk county is getting and specifically Des Moines. Huge number of votes in that city, I believe Huckabee garnered around 10,000 just from the Des Moines area alone! One point though, we need to finish up those precincts in West Des Moines...that tends to be an upscale area and those people tend be deeply republican and vote religiously. They also have the income to be big donors if they happen to like Ron Paul's message.

Amen to that. If we can win Linn County (Cedar Rapids) we'll be in good shape caucus night.

And very possibly, much more than we should have.

The first rule of the grassroots must be to DO NO HARM to Ron Paul's chances of winning the Republican nomination.
It's better than watching Newt win Iowa on caucus night because we did nothing and sent nothing. This should've been done months ago.

The campaign has been sending out material that is targeted towards that particular audience.
The slim jims the campaign made get tossed by people while canvassing, while people actually want to take the brochure from you. Also the back side of their material being turned into a ploy for donations is very off putting and smacks of desperation. There's just nothing exciting to them. I've tested the brochures on many different types of people and the response has been overwhelmingly positive, not only do people take them, they often request for several more because they want to pass them along to others.

If you had an issue with the design of the campaign literature, I hope you took it up with the campaign. Regardless, the content is different, Eric, and the message is tailored for the audience. The SuperBrochure from ronpaulproducts throws the kitchen sink at them. I know people want to do something to help, but doing an end run around the campaign is not the best way, in my humble opinion. They have told us what they need. They need our help in fundraising, so that they can slam the airwaves with ads. They have had to remove the TV ads from Iowa because they don't have enough money. You know that, I'm sure. They have also asked for our help with the Phone-from-Home program. This was an integral part of Rand Paul winning. We identified the likely voters for follow-up. They want to bring supporters to both Iowa and NH to help as a part of 2 separate programs. But, they are not getting funding for it.

I understand that some are still mad about the '07/'08 campaign. I was mad too. But, this is a new campaign. Ron is really running to win this time and the entire campaign has been kicking butt. They have the advisers they need and the political acumen to pull this off. Yet, we are still making end runs around them and I fear, are doing more harm than we are good.

If you do not trust Ron Paul's campaign, then you do not trust Ron Paul. Think about that.
How about you put your money and effort where you want and I will do the same.

By the way, LibertyEagle you're really wasting your time here preaching to the choir on the litany of concerns you have. You'd be much more productive conveying the importance of the phone banking, donating, etc on Ron Paul's facebook page that has 600,000 likes and the Ron Paul 2012 fan page that has 260,000 likes. There's thousands of newbie supporters on there looking for a way to get plugged into something productive.

And you came to that conclusion from what market studies? Do you honestly believe you know more than Republican political consultants who have studied the audience in Iowa?

What WE like what will convince Christian conservatives to vote for Ron Paul
You don't need a six figure "political consultant" salary to know that the ads in 2007 SUCKED! How you construe that into not trusting Paul is a feat of engineering on your part. Many others have expressed their opinions about the campaign materials on here. They are boring and don't invoke any reaction from voters. When you or the campaign come up with an informative, eye-catching brochure let me know...ain't the free market great?
