Top of Drudge: POLL: Ron Paul Tied with Obama; In Two-Man Race with Romney...

I don't really understand the significance of drudge? Everyone here always talks about it but it's a site with very little css/style and organization of information. Can someone please help me 'get it'?

Good stuff! I like the order of names.

It is a quite popular site.

It is one of the most heavily trafficked sites out there.

Always wondered the same thing, but for whatever reason, Drudge does get a ton of eyes on his site on a daily basis. Any positive exposure on there is seen by a ton of people.

I'm with you though, the site looks like shit.

At first I didnt "get" Drudge Report either. But it started to grow on me, its simple and everything is laid out nicely. Now Drudge is my 1st stop for getting the news of the day.

Hm, ok I can see its value from an seo/link juice perspective. Heavily trafficked site that links to content all over the web, thereby passing link juice value to said content. Got it, thanks!

I had more outbound link traffic in 2011 than Facebook and twitter. That's why. Drudge is huge, and the style is on purpose. I wish every informational site on the web would follow their direction. Less is more. Just present the info... Too much styling is too much IMHO. Look at daily Paul for an excellent example.

also guys like rush straightup read what drudge links to.

now they wont mention the good stuff about rp, but if you ever listen to rush/hannity they basically look at drudge and use those articles for hot topics so he influences tens of millions of minds

Not to mention a lot of smaller websites get their stories/content from Drudge. He does the work and they can be a little lazy. But the stories Drudge posts get traffic. It's the free market of the Internet.

I've started visiting Drudge on occasion since the site has started to cover Paul. I actually like the fact that space isn't wasted in stupid celebrity pictures or other wasteful pictures. Its just news in plain text... nice.

Note to campaign, please have this poll locked and loaded when they spew the electability crap.

Do a comparison of what Sean, Bill, Rush, Mark cover on a given day and this is their cliff notes. Except for the Paul links. They ignore or spin those.
