Tonights debate: Candidates can ask other candidates a question

how about "How come all you guys on-stage got out fund raised by me in the 4th quarter and are presently broke, while I can claim three days where I've raised over 1.5 million dollars and have enough money to continue my campaign until the convention without going into debt. Is how you finance this campaign representative of your monetary platform?"

What time is the debate? I just saw where king george is going to have press conference
@ 8 pm. Sounds fishy to me. A distraction maybe.

I'd like to see Ron grill McCain on the recent news articles in which McCain has admitted that he doesn't understand economics at all. Remember the October 9 debate where McCain said, "I'm glad whenever they cut interest rates, I wish interest rates were zero." Highlighting such a shocking lack of economic intelligence would really hurt McCain right now when fear about the economy is on everyone's minds. If the question can be phrased in such a way that it shows how smart Ron is about economics and forces McCain to reiterate his recent comments that he would be relying on advisers (like Phil Gramm) to run his economic policies, I think there's a potential for a home run here.

Good one! I vote for this

"It is clear from the polls that 70% of US citizens want an end to the Iraq war. The reality is that a pro-war candidate is not electable in the 2008 general election. Given this, how do any of you expect to have any chance of winning against the Democratic nominee?"

He should ask one of them about economics - CPI vs., M0, M3, etc., and watch them squirm. :D

JM
:D

Or this one too!
I'm sure only Romney could define what those quantities are, and even he couldn't talk about their relationships.

Now that economy is an issue, I think Ron Paul will look very very good at this debate. I can imagine a lot of rebuttals from Paul about other candidates like "do you even KNOW what you are talking about or anything about economics for that matter. If you did that, this/this/this would happen and everyone would be homeless!"

ABSOLUTELY! Ron needs to demolish McCain's immigration policy. I can't wait to see how this section of the debate pans out. It could be really interesting, or it could be lame. If not the immigration policy for McCain, maybe a tax raising question for Huckabee. I'd really love to have him ask "Why have you made it a point to steal my campaign's ideology and manipulate it to fit your own good? Can't you come up with your own ideas?", but obviously, that is far out of line and will make him look insane.

a good choice

remember we need a question that cannot be spun or danced around....and one that is simple to understand for the sheeple

Huckabee to Ron Paul:

"Ron, has your hatred for America caused you to lose faith in jesus?"

Romney to Paul:

"Ron, Where do you think your supporters will go after you drop out?"

McCain to Paul:

"Ron, after you give teenagers heroin and cocain, will violent crime increase by 50% or 100%?

Guiliana to Paul

" Ron, 911 911 911???"

All candidates to Ron Paul: "How in the world did you raise so much money?!"

Seriously though, I don't think he has to worry about answering questions during this time, and THAT'S a shame!

I'm fearful for a few reasons.

1. They won't even ask him a question. he'll be ignored.
2. They'll ask him some completely bogus unrelated question like Cameron did about the truthsayers.

I would like to hear anyone ask McCain about his ability to solve the Immigration issue. In the last debate he said he knew how to solve the problem. He also said by his own admission, his homestate has one of the worst records of illegal immigration and he knows how to solve the problem? Should this give anyone confidence?

Once again it's like a fat person giving diet advice. ( NO offense to fat people, myself included)

...need is say more.

One question, in 3 parts.

Do you know who David Walker is? Do you know the statistics on our economy he has made public? How do you plan on sustaining an out of control welfare system?

"Rudy, you say you want to be on the offensive against terrorism and John, you plan on remaining in Iraq for another 100 years. How do you plan on paying for your pro war policies without raising taxes or the debt knowing that both would make our economy even worse than it is now?"

yeah im hoping he asks something along these lines

I would love for Paul to ask them "Why are you finding it difficult for the American people to rally behind you even with your huge presence in the media - working at your campaigns for free, fund raising millions for you and walking through feet deep snow in terrible weather conditions just to get your message out. I guess what I'm asking is, what is the fundamental flaw in your campaign that fails to spark passion and excite the people of America?"

i like the immigration angle

Florida like most of America has a big illegal immigration issue and it would hit home there. McCain wants to selectively enforce this LAW...how can he be trusted.

Now that so many have dropped, RP is the only one left who's strong on illegal immigration. Asking McCain - who's generating so much MSM momentum - to point out that he (RP) is the best illegal immigration hope out of ALL of the candidates left on both sides can only be good.

RP has carved out his anti-war position, hammering on it now won't bring anybody over that it already hasn't.

Unfortunately, the complexities of economics make it difficult to separate yourself from the others. Everybody knows RP wants to get rid of income tax, etc. Nothing new here. Plus he'll have plenty of opportunity to talk about that without this, I'm sure.

McCain is pretty much a complete asshole - that should be reason enough.

Going after McCain on immigration by asking him to explain how his policy is different than Hillary's or Obama's is smart for a few reasons. Like I said, it shows that McCain (and all the others) are pretty much awful on this very important conservative issue.

It forces the current MSM darling to be directly accountable to RP on this important issue that is in danger of having no voice within the GOP. It's also a de-facto attack against Huck and Romney, because they are just as weak. Let Rudy hang himself with his national ID card crap, his ship is sinking anyways, no reason to waste time on him.

I could go on and on. This would be a homerun.

I would like him to ask McCain how he plans to finance our current foreign policy and wars in detail please Mr. McCain?
