Tonights debate: Candidates can ask other candidates a question

That portion will be really fun.

They must be soiling themselves knowing they will get owned if they:

A) Ask Ron Paul any question

and..

B) Are on the receiving end of a question by Ron Paul

I hope he words his questions well enough that they can't do a quick gloss-over answer.

I'd kill to see him say, Mr. McCain, in what ways does your immigration plan differ from Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama's?

1) The others will not ask him any question - because each candidate will be allowed to ask only 1 question.

2) He should not ask anything other than economy (may be spending in connection to foreign policy) which is his strong point and the others' weak area. Anything else will be easily answered and will be specific to 1 candidate (like immigration - which is specific to mccain, i think romney will ask that anyway.)

I'd like to see ...

Paul ask John McCain, if he can multiply 1,200 months, times a billion dollars each month, tell us what the sum is, and in a 100 words or less, explain how in hell he proposes to come up with the money to fund his 100 year war.

"Senator McCain, in your justification for a century of US presence in Iraq, you cite the lasting, non-violent military presence we have in Europe, Japan and South Korea. But I believe these occupations are not justified, either. Do you believe it is justifiable for American taxpayers to finance billions of dollars to maintain our military bases there? How are we benefitting from this?"

Let's come up with some questions for the other three guys. He should ask Huckabee about the fair tax. Attack Huckabee's tax-raising as governor and point out his own record of never voting to raise taxes.

"Can ANYONE on this stage explain to me why people should support their foreign policy when I get MORE MONEY from ACTIVE DUTY SERVICEMEN than ANYONE ELSE on this stage, INCLUDING JOHN MCCAIN, in the third quarter when I made less total money than everyone else?"

I think that alot of the other candidates (atleast one) will hammer ron paul with questions on:
racism
9/11 conspiracies
nazism
or things like that. They want him to appear to be a nut.

^^^ Nah, they don't regard RP as enough of a threat to need to do that.

If I were one of the other candidates, I would ask RP a question about foreign policy, though. On the news, they comment that he serves as sort of a practice democrat, or a chance for the mainstream candidates to show that they are the strongest on the Iraq war.

Maybe we don't like it, but it's true. Think of how Huckabee and McCain call him out sometimes. It's a chance to prove yourself.

I predict at least one of the other 4 will do this. If one of them currently is percieved as weak on foreign policy, it'll be that guy. Huckabee, maybe?

But there is no reason for any of them to bring up rumors. Ron Paul is not regarded by those guys as a serious threat. They have nothing to gain by doing that.

In the democratic msnbc debate, each candidate was allowed only 1 question. So I dont think they will try to make RP look bad. Their objective will be to go after their immediate competition in florida.

ABSOLUTELY! Ron needs to demolish McCain's immigration policy. I can't wait to see how this section of the debate pans out. It could be really interesting, or it could be lame. If not the immigration policy for McCain, maybe a tax raising question for Huckabee. I'd really love to have him ask "Why have you made it a point to steal my campaign's ideology and manipulate it to fit your own good? Can't you come up with your own ideas?", but obviously, that is far out of line and will make him look insane.

I doubt any of them will ask Ron anything - they don't want to give him the time. He should ask one of them about economics - CPI vs., M0, M3, etc., and watch them squirm. :D

"Rudy, you say you want to be on the offensive against terrorism and John, you plan on remaining in Iraq for another 100 years. How do you plan on paying for your pro war policies without raising taxes or the debt knowing that both would make our economy even worse than it is now?"

I'd like to see Ron grill McCain on the recent news articles in which McCain has admitted that he doesn't understand economics at all. Remember the October 9 debate where McCain said, "I'm glad whenever they cut interest rates, I wish interest rates were zero." Highlighting such a shocking lack of economic intelligence would really hurt McCain right now when fear about the economy is on everyone's minds. If the question can be phrased in such a way that it shows how smart Ron is about economics and forces McCain to reiterate his recent comments that he would be relying on advisers (like Phil Gramm) to run his economic policies, I think there's a potential for a home run here.

Which one of these candidates Ron Paul should ask that will help his polls that will go up in a short term? I think he should do that with Huckabee now. Hopefully Huckabee would not able to give a good answer so that he can lose his polls, money, and his supporters can switch to Ron Paul to gain the polls and fundraising. We'll save for Romeny and McCain later. I think these two will attak each other.

your British class is showing:D
