Tom Tancredo Runs for Governor of CO as Constitution Party member

I recall him having mostly positive comments about Ron Paul and agreeing with many of Ron's points during debates. Maybe he's woken up? Or maybe he just wants to take advantage of the anger at the 2-party.

His only real difference with Dr. Paul on the surface was the war. That was his reason for not supporting Dr. Paul when he dropped out. He was also a member of Dr. Paul's liberty caucus when he was in congress.

He was one of 10 house members to score a 100% in the 3rd JBS "freedom index" for 2008.

He scored 73% in the 4th edition

That's just kind of a huge issue.

If he runs he will end of splitting the vote and give the dems a victory. At least medical marijuana won't be threatened by a gop win..eh

If he wins as a member of the CP, the CP stands against prohibition AFAIK. He would have no choice but to moderate on that issue. I don't recall Tancredo being a domestic drug warrior in any case, but I do recall him citing drug smuggling in his sealed border argument. I happen to agree that foreign drug smuggling is a legitimate problem -- it leads to lower quality and often tainted drugs to the point of becoming deadly toxic -- a problem that would be solved quickly by ending prohibition.

Beyond that I do not know much about Tancredo except I agree that foreign policy is pretty much irrelevant for a Governor.

Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter were the only others in the field in 2007 that I could give any thought to besides Paul. At least they were anti-NWO. The "mainstream" candidates were all bilge.

Please note he voted for the bailout. Please note after he dropped out, he criticized Paul and endorsed Romney.

He's good on some things, but it just invokes the broken clock saying.

Unfortunately Tancredo cannot form a sentence beyond three words... If you are like me, you struggle trying to help the guy, as he struggles to form a sentence.

Tancredo is definitely a spoiler, and will only split the votes of others' equally mentally challenged.

He might have agreed with some of Dr. Paul's positions on paper, however, his logic underlying his advocacy of those positions was distinctly different and, often, irrational.
