Tom Davis’ Army - RON PAUL’S “REVOLUTION” RALLIES BEHIND FISCAL CONSERVATIVE STATE SENATOR

God help us if we can't get rid of Graham until he's ready to retire. That man is a primary challenge waiting to happen.

He did. I read his book "The Great Awakening" where he says that his goal was to elect conservatives to take over in the senate, so he will have less to worry about when he retires. He wanted good, conservative voices who would take the lead when he would retire in 2016.

This is true. We might need Davis to replace Demint in the Senate so we actually wouldn't even have to fight Lindsey in a costly primary. I want to replace Lindsey more than anyone but it would take a lot of money, a great candidate, a volunteer army, and a lot of luck to do it.

By the way Davis replacing Demint would be a net gain too. Demint has been getting better in recent years and is rated about three stars ★★★ on the Liberty scale. Davis is much more aligned with the Pauls on every issue and is endorsed by Ron himself so he gets ★★★★★ - green five stars.

Everything hinges upon getting him back in the SC state senate this election. We can play it by ear when 2014 rolls around if he have him take on Graham or wait till 2016. I think 2016 will be a huge year for us because when Rand runs he will elevate all our other candidates running for office and will make public appearances with them across the country. Rand will have long coattails in 2016 and he could help propel our people to victory.

I like this logic and I endorse this plan

Agreed. The Liberty movement is doing well. I like this type of planning. Too often, we plan too late, and we have no time to organize. Organization is key to success. If I have to compliment one thing about RINOs...they are pretty good at organizing.

I like De Mint, personally, whatever policy disagreements I may have with him, and I think he is principled (which is why I like him), but I don't really think of him as part of the liberty movement.

I would love Davis over Graham, though.

Nice comment! :) +rep. Davis over Graham would be sweet! The key for him is to get in early. The earlier the better. Senator Demint doesn't oppose incumbent senators so this is a little more difficult, but I will work my hardest to convince other conservatives (who aren't big fans of Ron Paul) to support Tom Davis over Graham. I think that they will, but it will take some time to convince them. I'll remind them about Graham's support for Sotomayor, Kagan, his support for big government policies like raising the debt ceiling. But he has to take the first step and GET IN! (February 2013 would be good. That's the time that Richard Mourdock announced his challenge to Dick Lugar.)

a Ron Paul DEMOCRAT got 42% of the vote against Graham last time with only months to throw his campaign together and maybe $40,000 war chest. I think there is a lot of latent Lindsay Loathing out there.

That may well be. But it would still be better if Mr. Davis got in early...and he has to define Graham before Graham can define him! :)

But in 2014 it would likely be our 'big race' as Rand's was, as Ron's is. Unless something I don't know about turns up (someone galvanizing).
True. I'd love to replace Graham. He'll have a big bankroll though from special interests. People on the ground should chime in with their thoughts, I trust them to know what strategy would be best to focus on, Graham in 2014 or Demint's empty seat in 2016. It would be great if we could find another liberty minded candidate if we did take on Graham and win. Two more Senate seats for the cause of liberty!
