Told you the scandal was bad

right, if a conservative will rally around someone because a newspaper exposes their corruption then they arnt conservative at all, they are no worse then the so called liberals they hate.

They wouldn't mean the true meaning of conservatism if it smacked them with freedom and put more money in their wallet.

Those were two republicans already for McCain. They obviously had to spin it in their own way to justify their reasoning.

I don't think the full scandal has hit yet.

Step 1: Cautious accusations by NYT.

Step 2: McCain blasts them, GOP rallies.

Step 3: announced that by his own depositions, McCain just lied about never meeting Paxton. (this occurred)

Step 4: Paxton comes out and says that yes, he most definitely did meet McCain in McCain's office... and probably with 'that woman'. (this occurred)

Step 5: Confused confusion from McCain and Co.

STEP 6:

Larry "Payback is a bitch" Flynt comes out with his 30 Senator list, nailing the coffin shut with a proven sexual scandal.

affa's description is much similar to how that Lewinsky scandal turned out.

1) Media (can't remember who scooped) tentatively breaks the news.

2) Clinton blast it, Dem rallies.

3) Clinton lies under oath.

4) Linda Trapp (is that right?) comes out and spills the bean

5) Clinton is confused.

6) Impeachment.

it's the best way to 'close the deal'.
you hint, they punch back, and then you go in for the kill.

we have not seen the last of this.

If you believe in the CFR influence, you'll believe that the NYT smeared John McCain because the Man couldn't get the grassroots republicans to rally to McCain unless the "liberal media" attacked him, thus making him one of us.

Our problem is, the "liberal media", the "conservative pundits" and the "independent thinkers" all smear Ron Paul.
