Let's see, you admit you aren't the only one contributing to an "us against them" mindset in this thread and yet you think affa's post could have only been about you? :rolleyes: And no you weren't the only "anti-AJer" in the thread. And you weren't being attacked for criticizing Alex Jones. You were attacked for the chicken little "the sky is falling" approach to Ron Paul going on the show. Yeah, maybe you wouldn't have made those comments if you had the "foresight" to realize that if the campaign cleared Ron to go on the show after Ron not being on the show for months that maybe, just maybe they already cleared the topic. Naw. We're just virtually tied for first place in Iowa because nobody at HQ knows what they're doing and they need you and other "anti-AJers" to set em straight.

2. That moment is nothing. He says he wanted to go after Bin Laden differently, so what? The "truther" moment from 2007 hurt him imo

:rolleyes: Well your opinion is wrong. You're entitled to it, but it's wrong. I monitor neocon mailing lists. Ron isn't getting attacked this round based on "truther" allegations. He's being attacked for saying he wanted "friendship" with Iran, saying that Ron having a nuclear weapon isn't the end of the world, and saying that he wouldn't have killed OBL. Sure those things make sense to you, but you are not the target. It's people who haven't made up their mind about Ron that are the target. Even in 2007 it was Ron Paul's statements about foreign policy and worries about side issues like gays that hurt Ron more than the conspiracy theory tag. I have yet to meet a single person who said they wouldn't vote for Ron Paul because they thought he believed 9/11 was an inside job. I've met plenty who didn't like his foreign policy and at least one who wrongly thought Ron Paul supported gay marriage. (Sadly that falsehood get's propagated a lot by Ron Paul supporters). The only time this year I heard someone on talk radio refer to Ron Paul as a "conspiracy theorist" was an idiot from a focus group who didn't like what Ron had to say about our government overthrowing the democratically elected government in Iran in 1953. What do you do about people like that? Ignore them.

The forum software will only allow to you to give so much rep to a single person in a 24 hour period. I tried to give donnay rep and that was the message it gave me. So I posted it to show I would have given him rep if I could have.

Thanks for all the objective evidence you're using to discredit my "wrong" opinion that the 2007 truther question televised nationally hurt him.

And thanks for also proving my point that he isn't getting attacked as much this round based on truther allegations. I'd like it to stay that way.

And you totally misstated what I "admitted" so at least quote me right. I said I wasn't the one, not that I wasn't the only one. Geez it's like I'm reading a CNN article

If you are uninformed enough to think that paid bloggers smearing Paul = what random voters on the street think of Paul then I'm not sure what else to say.

Edit: And you've just disproved your own theory. The redstate blogger was not citing the fact that Ron Paul was on the Alex Jones show. Rather he was citing a statement that Ron Paul made in the MSM and used that against him. It's no different than how the "Ron Paul would not have killed OBL" clip has been used against him. It's just like the comment I made earlier about how someone interpreted Ron Paul telling the truth about Iran in 1953 as a "conspiracy theory".

It still amazes me how some Ron Paul supporters don't like the Idea of Ron Paul appearing on the Alex Jones show. I would like to know the amount of Alex Jones listeners who are NOT Ron Paul supporters compared to those who are supporters. I consider Alex Jones listeners some of the most politically active and informed people (he does has a very large audience) . Some may not agree with some of Alex's "Radical" positions , but is it enough to scoff at Ron Paul showing up to promote his Campaign? I never consider it a bad move when he's on radio shows where he is constantly attacked, because he can hold his own.

Anyone else remember the MIAC Report leaked talking about Ron Paul supporters being " militia supporters" and dangerous? Alex Jones broke that story from a police officer who was a listener. Remember the NAFTA super highway "conspiracy"?

Alex Jones has spoken before about Ron Paul's answer to the 9/11 truther debate questions. Alex and supporters understand Ron Paul will never agree to the complete 9/11 conspiracy that our government was involved in the attacks as "politically" it would be too damaging.


Hypothetically if Alex Jones DID address this issue with Paul again, what would he do it for? Would this benefit Alex Jones in anyway ("RON PAUL EXPOSED!") ? Would Alex Jones actually attack Ron Paul for not agreeing with him? The idea that Alex Jones would have Ron Paul on his show only under the condition that he agrees with his controversial issues seems a bit silly.


While some may disagree with his "message", he never asks listeners to take what's said at face value, but asks them to become informed about what he discusses. The mainstream media will never accept Alex Jones as an acceptable news outlet because of positions, and this advances the notion in close-minded individuals that guests would be "foolish" to appear on his show due to guilt by association.

Why alienate a group (conspiracy theorists) because of their views, while at the same time wanting another group (mainstream media viewers) to open up to "controversial views" ( according to the same mainstream media) that Ron Paul has?

If you're just going to keep putting words in my mouth rather than making a logical argument I'm just not going to bother with this thread. Too emotionally driven

Are you that illogical? Your point throughout this thread is that if Ron Paul goes on the Alex Jones show he might get attacked as a conspiracy theorist. My point has been that it doesn't matter whether Ron Paul goes on or not. They will attack him whenever he goes "off script". I haven't put "words in your mouth" in the least bit. And if anyone is emotionally driven here it's you. And you are the one putting words in people's mouths. My point was not that you said the red state blogger was referring to Alex Jones. My point is that YOU keep referring to Alex Jones as "the problem" when those who attack Ron Paul attack him based on his (Ron Paul's) on words and NOT based on radio show appearances.
