I'm not saying this might not end in major fail but I don't believe the midnight early birds are a god indicator of what we'll see during the day. I say this well aware that historically for Rand and Ron's successful money bombs the midnight hours have always correlated to what we'll see in the daytime.

Even though there's always been a correlation, I don't believe the relationship is so direct. I agree it's not encouraging, but it's not damning either.

There wasn't a palpable buzz about this money bomb. Usually a day or two before the money bomb, everybody is excited about it. Yesterday, barely anyone seemed to acknowledge its existence. And the pledge total (150) is half of the 300 or so Schiff had for his 'Will you Fight?' dud of a money bomb.

Hopefully Ron Paul will salvage it later today with an inspirational e-mail. Really, if we just hit $50,000; I think most would think of that as a nice fundraising day. And since it was called a "money blast", it can be spinned in the media as lowered expectations from the usual money bombs.

I just donated. Any money Rand gets from the movement is valuable and there is no such thing as a failed moneybomb.

I agree that if past performance is any indicator, this money bomb won't be anything to write home about though. Ill predict probably $50K or so. Of course, Rand is getting money from other sources so we also don't need to be the sole source of campaign funding anymore. Everyone should donate something but most recognize that it's time for the GOP to start kicking in to elect a conservative to the US Senate.

Everyone, including Rand, has had campaign fatigue since the MadCOW interview

The campaign probably doesn't want to get everyone fired up TOO early. If you get people geared up too early then it's likely they'll stop paying attention/helping when you need them in the month or so before the election

I went from checking RPF like 5 times a day to checking it once every few days just because of the emotional rollercoaster following the primary win straight into open season on Rand

I'll be throwing a donation into the pot but it's too early for me to get fired up again due to the fatigue, which I think everyone has felt

* Read the Bills: I will force Congress to read the bills, and introduce a waiting period for all legislation. If they say I have to wait to buy a gun, they have to wait to spend our money!

* An Enumerated Powers Act that will demand Congress show the Constitutional Authority for all bills.

This is an ambitious agenda, and one that can help change Washington. But we won't change Washington unless we stop sending the same old people there.

I'm a career doctor, not a career politician. I intend to fix what I can, then go home.

The national Democrats and the Obama Administration are pulling out the big guns right now. The unions, trial lawyers and party bosses are filling the campaign war chest of my liberal opponent.
