To GOPUSA: Ron Paul Supporters: Civility is Essential

Debating the radicals who control the GOP at GOPUSA, Redstate, or any other Republican sites is a tremendous waste of time.

If Dr. Paul does not win the Presidential election, none of their candidates will either and the lot of the way-out-there bloggers who are joined at the hip with the worst administration in US History will soon be irrelevant.

It is better to avoid these sites than even attempt to engage these folks.

All who are left in the GOP are neocons and holy rollers. They are an even worse threat to us all than the Democrats.

The independents, constitutionalists, fiscal conservatives, and libertarians have been evicted from that party but they have ZERO chance of winning without us. It is we who decide elections. The task is to reach out to folks in these 4 categories. Do it and NOBODY at a GOP site can stop us.

I have quit the GOP and Ron Paul is their only hope that I come back.

I found their bullying, childish behavior oppressive. They have no reason whatsoever to complain about any Paul supporter.

First off let me say that it is my personally policy to support Ron Paul with civility.

Secondly, I think it is unfortunate that some among us seem to think it is okay to stir the pot in a bad way. I dont think it helps R.P. at all and it is rather tiresome to see it over and over again. But also I think that the "uncivil" lot that claims to be of us, but apart from us in their manners has become a scapegoat for individuals with clear biased intentions against Ron Paul. To bring out the bad apple(s) in the R.P. basket makes it easy for these individuals to then avoid making a just and fair comparison of Ron Paul and what he believes, and what the Constitution says. It is a fair heap of trouble on both sides, and neither is blameless, one side seeks to forcibly ram R.P. down anothers throat, while those having R.P. rammed down their throat are using the throat ramming as a means to justify looking past Ron Paul and not giving him a fair shake.

To the R.P. zealots, simmer down! To the biased individuals, come on be honest and show some integrity and quit using the bad apples of our bunch to excuse your lack of understanding of Ron Paul's message.

Don't alienate.

I paisted this here after writing it for the same issue but newer thread.
In 1776, The leaders of our country had the same issues we RP supporters have today. People simply dont' understand freedom. I work with a guy who is an honest to god socialist. I've walked away yelling "SOCIALIST"! He just laughs and claims the victory for socialized health care or social security. I'd like to see him get it, somewhere else! THEN, see how he feels in a year. I've come to believe that my co-worker is afraid to not be "covered" or "Protected". He can't even falthom the idea that real free trade can even work. We have screamed and followed each other around the office quoting numerous people and news reports. It never works out. Our boss does the same as me. We've both given up.

However, if I remember correctly. The "rich" of the time (1776) didn't win and were quite scrupulous in thier tactics to discredit true freedom. Many senators and early congressmen were FOR taxing the people as soon as the redcoats went home. How did they deal with this? I believe if I remember correctly. It was Arguing.. Fist fights..Screaming and Running around. NOT CIVIL! I believe they may have even threated each other a time or two. This is how people are.

Our best effort should only be in spreading the word. Be civil, as to not scare anyone away. Start a conversation about gas prices, then hand them a slim jim and walk away. Don't argue! Don't Threaten! These people who vote just don't understand. If they do? They are likely, afraid of freedom. Or are profiting from it in some way.

MOST are not afraid of freedom we simply can't see it, Only a few people in our country (USA) have ever felt freedom. True freedom hasn't really happened in this country in 95 years. The more you trace Dr. Pauls views the more you learn about freedom. If you desire the freedom you've always believed should be here today. You will open peoples eyes and bring them to freedom. If you write hate mail all day to the "PAID OFF" or insult people who are afraid. Those people will never look back. They will be lost to our cause, simply from one rude supporter. If someone tries to argue say I'm sorry. Take back the slim jim (if possible) and try again. It is numbers that count here. NOT spending time converting the few die hards.

I have never cared for any canidate, or politics for that matter. I have never felt free and only recently discovered how tyranized this country really is. We need President Paul more then most people even know. So, lets start guiding the blind and scared to freedom. As well as stop trying to force our horse to drink, so to speak.

What gets to me is how he completely, completely misses the point of people acting upset. It's because we're upset! It goes right over his head that there are people who are very upset at the way the party and the country are being run into the ground. We care!

He wants us to behave professionally, like professionals, with professionalism. What is a professional? A professional is someone who doesn't give a damn because he's only doing what he's doing because he's getting paid! An amateur is someone who is doing what he's doing from LOVE (e.g. amor, in Latin). We're behaving like amateurs because we love this country! Stop asking us to behave like mercenaries who don't care about the cause we fight for.

As for civility-- ah, okay... Want us to be professional? Right. Then let's talk quid pro quo. What has the party ever done for Ron Paul and his causes in return for his ten terms of service to the party? What can we expect the party to do for Ron Paul and the Ron Paul Revolution?
