To GOP Field: Will you support Paul if he is the nominee?

I would like to hear an answer of this from every candidate. The media constantly asks Ron if he would support the nominee regardless of who it is and pledge to not run 3rd party in an attempt to make him look bad - I'd like to hear the same question asked to the field supposing Ron is the nominee.

Anyone want to predict which candidates would or would not endorse Ron if he won the nomination?

Considering he is polling highest in Iowa and 2nd in NH, this is a legitimate question an unbiased media would ask.

I think from most of them they would "say" that yes they would support him. Their reasoning would be that beating Obama is most important blah blah blah. At the same time they won't go out and make sure Paul wins either. They will do everything they can so that if Paul loses they can say "See? Told you candidates like that can't win now come back to the one party with two heads".

I would hate to see that question raised during a debate. It would just give the candidates open license to bash Paul. To a man (and woman), they'd give the political answer - he would be better than Obama and they agree with him on domestic issues, but they disagree on foreign policy.

Here is my question for conservatives:

Since you must already "hold your nose" and vote for Romney despite things you disagree with him on, why are you against "holding your nose" and voting for Ron despite some disagreements you have with him?

If you are already going to compromise your vote, why won't you compromise in the direction of someone who polls higher than all the other Republican candidates against Obama? If the idea of compromise is already accepted, why not compromise in the small government direction?

This is a question I would like to ask all the radio talking heads that hate Paul: will you support Paul if he is the nominee, vote for Obama, or go against your word that you will support whoever the nominee is and vote for an independent candidate should one run?

I can't wait for Ron to be making the acceptance speech. I will cry tears of Joy and say, "in your face establishment" (in my head).

If he's a clear winner, I think most of them will support him.

They aren't in this for their beliefs first and foremost (maybe Santorum is), but for their careers. Ron Paul winning is a strong sign of changing tides.
