Tisha Casida claims Liberty groups are front for the Republican machine

What's your polling data look like? The sad reality is, Liberty organizations are pretty severely resource constrained, and while I understand you weren't asking YAL's PAC for dough, they have to look at a race's odds of success to use other resources beyond money most effectively. I imagine their financial supporters demand that of them.

She's requested contact information, and hasn't heard a response back from YAL. Which is different from material support.

The candidate I speak of, really only wanted to have C4L publish his op-ed on their email newsletter about the importance of a "Constutional Sheriff" and was ignored as well. Then finally they published it, but right before the primary election - and this was months in advance which we requested it be published. They are not helping liberty candidates with even the minor aspects of something which should take a few minutes.

It's been obvious for a while now.

There was never a prerequisite that supporters be a "libertarian". This movement is for everyone and anyone who wants liberty.

True. But if it's becoming a prerequisite that supporters be "republican" that's a problem. And if the C4L didn't respond to her request for a candidate survey and/or didn't timely post her answers, that's borderline fraudulent.

I am a former member of YAL and went to their "Year of Youth" event in Arlington last year. I have asked numerous times to have the contact info of other people in their organization who are running for office (to network) and have continually been ignored. They do not support me running as an Independent. And please let me know of these other services that they offer to candidates - [email protected]

I don't think a 501 (C-3) should put their organization at risk for you. Besides that they also helped you to go through their training with their funds, so please don't go after them when they have helped you.

If you're "Independent" then you are going to find yourself just that in terms of party support. As far as you feeling that you are owed, that is a sense of entitlement. You need to earn it. So you need to be realistic and not go around attacking people when you don't get free handouts.

the reason Youth For Ron Paul was started again this election cycle is that YAL couldn't in its format even promote RON PAUL as a candidate. They can't do that.

True. But why put up 10 more hurdles for yourself to jump through? Third parties are behind the 8 ball and only a billion dollars will ever change that playing field significantly enough to achieve victory.
