I just got an email to mail superbrochures to California. As many know, the California primary is "winner take all" by congressional district. There are many very liberal districts in CA that only have a few hundred Republican primary votes per cycle. I feel that if we were to do targeted "marketing", if you will, to those select individuals who are Republicans in those districts, then they could possibly be won for Ron Paul.
The problem is that Ron Paul has decided not to campaign here at all, and most voters think that he has dropped out. I was initially not a fan of the brochure mailing in the caucus states. However, I think that this might actually be an effective way to let people know that Ron Paul is still in the game and to consider him. Since we know the campaign will do nothing, this might be the only grassroots way to reach these voters. In theory, if we bought up all of the precincts that have 5-8 "supervoters" (as opposed to mine with 64) that should be a good representation of those more liberal districts we have a good chance of winning.
What do you think?
