Time to bail on the US?

Should we leave the US?

You can run but you can't hide from the world police state! Going to Canada or New Zealand would work for a few years until McInsane or whoever is in power decides to invade those countries and take all your oil/food/gold

We're Americas last hope and we still have the option of turning this country around. It may seem remote and it's not the quickest process but it can be done. 10 years ago I would have never predicted that Ron Paul would get this far - running for president, raising millions in a day and seeing signs and seeing new bumper stickers everyday. I remember donating to his congressional campaign in 1998 and really not that many people besides your hardcore libertarians knew who he was - at least that has changed and more and more are being exposed to his ideas everyday.

We're growing and we'll continue to grow. Keep up the good fight and never, never, never give up :)

Unfortunately, there's no better country. However, there's a 99.7% chance, depending on where you live, that there's a better state:

I made the move from Los Angeles four months ago, and I'm loving it. And we're making real progress. Come join the fun!

I am glad you're happy there. I never wanted to move there, and hubby did until the election. But still, I am sure there are some great aspects to living there. I'm just a cold wimp! I want out of the northeast. LOL.

As far as leaving the country, I always have the nagging question running through my mind...where would it be better? It's just a matter of time before the NWO will infiltrate them too.

No, but it may be time to bail on the Republican Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe a July 4* "MoneyBailBomb"? On July 4, we have a money bomb to show our support for Ron Paul AND THEN on July 5 we all go out in mass and change our party to Independent!

Let's plan a huge freaking July 4th money bomb!!!!

YES!!!!! There's plenty of time to make it really big! 10 million could really happen!!!!!

Wtf?

I find this an interesting post for a guy with only 9 posts. You don't wanna fight for this country, fine leave. I'd rather you go. As for me, I'll fight the problems to the bloody end.

Did you $%#@tards really believe we were going to win immediately from the top down? Holy crap you guys are clueless on how a real fight works. 100 years of control !poof! gone. Yeah right. That is why this is a revolution. Start working at the ground floor and get the right people elected to support Ron Paul ideals. Let me add before I am done with my rant. This fight is by no means over. Boohoo we lost Florida. We need to push other states so they hear us loud and clear. Even if we don't win, I want to be heard.

Alaska is cool

I can't imagine that NH can take a whole lot of new people looking for jobs and reasonable rents. There sure were not many listings for housing on the site.

I hate CA but love Napa. I could move to Canada easily but I won't.

Think I'll dig in and fight on.

Anyone that bails this early in the fight (and it is early) go ahead, we won't miss your pessimism but we will miss you.

The free state project was a total failure unless the GOP primary was rigged (not shocking since they did use Diebold). If you don't mind the cold, Alaska is a pretty free state.

Florida sucks

only go to florida for disney :D

Even if I don't bail on the US, I will be leaving FL as soon as I save up. Only go to Disney if you want to spend over 60 bucks on standing in line all day long under the hot sun.

Lets all change to Libertarian.

meh i think i'm just going to go down with the ship....unless that whole lakota independence movement ends up working out.

I never heard about this until now but do you think they would accept us? I think we would have a better shot in a nation like Bolivia.

Our Duty per Constitution

Either these primaries are rigged or Americans are retarded. Either way it might be time to look at options for leaving the US and building our own state. It could be anything from a location in South America or Antarctica to a micro-nation on a ship/floating island. From what I am seeing so far, it is going to be McCain and Romney VS Hillary and Obama. McCain is by far the worst of these neocons but they are all as bad as Bush (if not worse).

It is our duty per the contitution to set our government on the right track even to replace it if neccessary.

Plenty of cheap housing. We have lots of land, sparsely populated. And the local economy seems fine. Plus, short drive to Boston.

20k people isn't going to affect the economy or housing markets - except in a positive way, if many of them are entrepreneurs. :)

Hey, I've lived my whole life in LA, I'm a cold wimp myself. But it's only cold here in winter, and my apt has a very efficient heater, so I'm doing fine. Besides, it's a small price to pay for freedom.

Libertarian Military.

Thats why it's good that we have so much support within the military. I had no clue our military was so libertarian until they donated the most money to Ron Paul.

I agree, libertarians moving in can only stimulate the economy.

Being too cold is better than being too hot anyways. You can always add a layer of clothing but you can't go around naked.

Since the value of the dollar is tanking, and I can make loads more cash elsewhere in the world, I have started putting the bug in the ear of my wife that it may be time to move.

Free Nation Project

We should all share ideas on where we might go so we can start a nation version of the free state project.

The problem isn't that the American people are stupid, it's that they're afraid of another terrorist attack. And ever since Bush invaded Afghanistan and Iraq there have no longer been attacks on American soil. So then there's a post hoc fallacy occurring that if we fight them over there they can't get us here. People don't give a rats ass about how it happened they just want it to be stopped from happening, and from the looks of Bush's policy it has appeared that invasion has been successful. Has it? Well it's still to early to decide. The other Republicans seem more appealing because they want to continue the fight against Radical Islam, while Dr. Paul doesn't, meaning sending troops over. The solution is to simply get out and invoke a non-interventionist policy. But then here brews another potential post hoc fallacy, if we get out of the Middle East and all over the world, will we be truly safer. Can you 101% be sure that we will be safer. Because we were not safer on December 7, 1941, from our non-interventionist foreign policy. I know there'll be conspiracy theories and technicalities about December 7th, so yea. Dr. Paul probably doesn't seem appealing either since he always gives out an aura of isolationism to the average American. When people are scared they will do anything to protect themselves even if it means giving up certain liberties. Heck we do it everyday

Which means that we give up a few rights to be protected. For example: you give up the right to chew gum in order to prevent assholes from sticking them to desks, the ground, and chairs. I've had my share of bad experiences with assholes and gum. I'm sorry to say it though, Dr. Paul doesn't sound like a person, to most people, as someone who'll protect them PHYSICALLY (ie: keeping Terrorists out of America). People are in the mindset that if you have a powerful military around the world you'll be safe. Just look at the British Empire, they had soldiers and ships everywhere and not once did a foreign nation invade English soil. Dr. Paul provides for social freedom, civil freedom, and economic freedom. But people care more for security, you call it the road to fascism, which could indeed to in our future, but it's really Human Nature.

Oh yea, it doesn't hurt to STOP HARASSING FELLOW SUPPORTERS AND SUPPORTERS OF OTHER CANDIDATES!

Yes, let's look at the British Empire, what did it become, what did it gain and at what cost? And look at thier current status as well. Is that what we are supposed to look forward to? Was the Revolution and everything that followed just a waste of time?

And here's another question: what to do with refuseniks like myself who WILL NOT "trade liberty for security"? We've got more people in jail than any other country on earth, both per capita and in raw numbers. Gonna throw us all in jail as well? Gonna cheer on the federal stormtroopers when we are picked off one by one for refusing that last final insult to our liberty, that last "line in the sand"?
