That's a fantastic slogan. I think it has legs.
I'm not sure who the people behind the first BTO were, but we need to fire it up again. The style of the videos, pamphlets, and overall message were phenomenal.
The establishment is scared of Ron. Let's do our best to let everyone know about it. Again...
Why bother trying to blend into some amorphous Tea Party that barely resembles what originally made it so appealing?

The current BTO site just needs some minor modifications for part II. Would be nice to have that image that I saw somewhere in another thread that links all the major news stations to the military also.

Not sure what the fascination with the Tea Party is anymore.
Unfortunately, it's long been co-opted and we're never going to get it back. The Media blackout of Ron Paul is unique to only him. Whereas a bunch of lunatics like Bachmann, Perry, Palin, Frothy, etc all claim to be part of the Tea Party.

You're going to have a hard time convincing everyone to just drop Tea Party 11 though. A lot of effort has already been put into the website, videos, planning, etc. Remember, Tea Party 07 raked in 6 million - by far the most successful moneybomb to date.
Our best chance of BTO 2, if anything would be to merge it into the theme.
When you think of the term "tea party", think Boston Tea Party. It was a great theme and that's part of why it was so successful.

Unfortunately, no one thinks that about the "Tea Party" anymore. Now, it's all but synonymous with the corporate, bankster, Koch brother driven, Republican establishment. BTO is unique to us.

I don't see whats so great about the Tea Party either, but its a fundraiser, and we need it to be successful. I say if there's a tea party group that wants to give the Paul some moolah, then I'm all for it.
Honestly I think the current plans for the up and coming MB's should be left alone and promoted as is. We all know Ron is being blacked out, its not something worth dwelling over, because the campaign's plan to combat that is to circumvent the media by running targeted ads in early states. That requires money, so it doesn't matter what the bombs are called, they need to make money.

just to be clear, my concern is that arguing about this will end up with factions, those who don't like how it came out will sit on their hands, and the money bomb won't be successful. Like with the current one. I want whatever people will get excited about, but surely there is some way to use black this out and tea party together. I mean, heck, sometimes the Teocon party blacks out the actual tea party, and Ron. There WAS an authenticity to the start. I thought BTO was fantastic, but a lot of people have been working on tea party, because of the last one, and it has a side benefit of maybe reaching out to other tea partiers. (Not those at the alter of Judson Phillips, of course.) Did you watch the video I posted? It was V and the Tea Party. SURELY there is a good way to do BTO and the tea party.

There is no way the tea party money bomb is going to come close to making as much as the first one. All of Ron's supporters know that the tea party we started is no more. We are not going to support a movement that no longer represents us. BTO has and continues to resonate with many if not most of us. In the end, it's all about donations. We must use the most effective means of maximizing it.

Yes, the Tea Party was Ron's show at the beginning. Now? It's a corporate monstrosity that mainly promotes the likes of Palin, Perry, Bachmann, etc. Trying to nudge our way back into that mess is not helpful. It sucks getting co-opted, but sometimes we've just gotta fish and cut bait.
No other candidate has anything close that resembles BTO's quality. That's who we are. It represents where we are right now. It represents the task at hand. Let's not run from it.
