OK, but TikTok is really an arm of the CCP. And US-based social media companies are really just organs of the US government. They are "private" companies, in the same sense that USPS or the Fed are "private". The difference is that the regulatory-capture is all off the books, so it's a de facto arrangment, not de jure.
