Ticker is really moving For RP's Re-Election for Congress

I attended the Ron Paul rally in Victoria, TX today (where Dr. Paul was when he was on MTV's forum). The crowd they showed at the beginning in the parking lot was us :) . The reasons he was there today were twofold:

1. He was attending a town hall meeting in Victoria regarding his Congressional seat.
2. He attended the Presidential rally for his Texas supporters.

People were there from all over Texas, including San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christie, Houston, etc.

He made this comment to the 14th district people: "thank you for sharing me with the rest of the country". I agree we should thank them, by getting him re-elected there. If it weren't for the 14th Congressional district of Texas allowing Dr. Paul to retain his office over the years, despite not sending them earmarks and benefits from Washington, we would not have him for this run for the Presidency. He also pointed that out to us all.

I will say, that his signs were EVERYWHERE in Victoria, and that's just one city within his district. I think he has Galveston, TX, too.

"Re-elect RON PAUL for Congress, The Taxpayer's Best Friend" were the signs. There were several Ron Paul for President signs as well. We were rallied in a parking lot and were waving signs at the intersection, and there were hundreds of cars driving by honking and waving in support. As long as we give him enough money for advertising time there, I think he'll be fine.

Interestingly, a large group of us went to eat at Chili's after the event so we could watch the MTV debate (which was friggin awesome!!!). I sat at the bar beside some locals, and one asked "who's Ron Paul?" when he saw all of our shirts. Well, I told him and directed him to the website. Maybe we'll have a few newbies. Interesting, because some people from his home district don't even know him, or that he's running for either office. Helping him to advertise there might gain some Presidential primary voters, too!

His Congressional seat is up for the vote on March 4th, the same day as the Texas presidential primary. His name will be on the ballot in 2 spots in the 14th district.

Just thought I'd share!

Perhaps it had something to do with his congressional campaign rally in Victoria today. Or maybe my meetup group all maxed out for him from me mentioning it this morning=)>

It could be that a lot of people who have maxed out on the Presidential campaign have realized that they can donate another $2,300 to Ron Paul's congressional campaign.

I just sent a message to Dan at RonPaulGraphs.com asking him to make a graph for RonPaulForCongress.com. Hopefully he will do so!

email i got back from Dan:

"most popular request of the week :) it's in progress."

i gave $50, big thanks to the people of district 14 in texas for sharing him with the rest of the country!

bump for all the late night folks who feel like giving a couple bucks so Ron Paul can continue the fight if he's not elected President

Please remember, the maximum contribution is $2300 per election cycle. We are currently in the primary cycle. Make your best donations before March 4th. On March 5th you start back at $0 and can donate another $2300 for the general election.
