I don't think it will pick up substantially. We'll probably land somewhere between $2M-$3M, and there's nothing wrong with that. It certainly does make you respect everything that went in to raising $6M on a single day last year. Boy, that was something else!
I think that starting tomorrow we should get together for a real strategy session on how to do an even better job of spreading the word for 11/11. With folks able to donate significantly less than they were in 2007, we'll have to do an even better job at penetrating deep into the base of supporters than we did in 2007. Times is tough out there, and I think that by the end of the day today, we'll see that we were able to generate a very substantial number of donors, just that they weren't able to donate as much as they did last time around. No reason to get discouraged though, especially since the campaign is doing a much better job of raising money aside from the moneybombs.
