Three New Ads from HQ

I like the ads.

He is definately talking about "tent cities" they are starting to spring up all over as homeless shelters are being overfilled by people who have lost their homes.

and yes it is "tent" cities

I guess. It's like an auditory illusion. Think he's going to say tense cities and listen to it. Then, think he's going to say tent cities and listen to it. I suppose they both sound exactly the same, so you hear the one your brain wants to hear.

Great ad but it will be useless if Rudy decides to drop out after Florida, unless it would be edited!
We need more of these ads that bring comparisons to the surface

Looks like they made it easy to edit, notice how the Ghouls face is on the outside and for most of the beginning of the ad it's already 1/2 off the screen.

The new "The only one Ad" is great, no soap actors. It just gets straight to the truth and has nice editing.

KILLER AD!

Thats all he needs to do imo.. just show the other candidates, then simply x them out one by one for all the NON CONSERVATIVE things they have voted for in the past

The "tent cities" comment is going to be seen as nuts at least where I live. I have never seen a tent city and I travel through a couple major cities here on the east coast. I've heard something about a tent city in Cali but honestly no one here can relate to tent cities.

I'm not sure that the commercials are conveying that people need to take action NOW and join up to the revolution. We can run commercials, but unless they are asking for people to act now, or specifically asking for their vote in the primary or caucus, I'm not sure it's doing much except generic name recognition. It might help for the later caucus/primary states, but I don't think it will do much in the ones coming up in a week.

Well, tense cities sounds exactly the same as tent cities, so it doesn't matter. ;)

well maybe it was ment to be aired just in areas that have them, like cali..

Tent cities was what he said, and it definetly speaks to me as a resident of California. You guys on the east coast don't see this because you have harsh weather extremes. Over here in sunny California we have long established permanent encampments of homeless people ALL over the place.

edit: They're not all in tents either. There's huge numbers of them that live out of their cars. Some of these people even have jobs, but they don't earn enough to pay housing costs. It's really at crisis level in a lot of regions of this country.

Yeah, every one of my trips to Cali in the past few years has included a tent city sighting at some point. Us New Englanders have no clue, since the homeless folks out here would be bat shit to live in a tent year-round.

Sure McCain can hold that mean Xs?

US mortgage crisis creates ghost town

The streets are empty. Trash rustles down the road past rusted barbecues, abandoned furniture, sagging homes and gardens turned to weed.
This is Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland and a town ravaged by the subprime mortgage crisis roiling the United States.

Faded "for sale" signs sit in front of deserted houses. The residents are gone, either in search of new jobs after the factories shut down, or in shame after being evicted for missing their mortgage payments.

A red, white and blue American flag flies over windows and doors which have been boarded up to keep the drug dealers away.

Thieves have stripped many homes of the plumbing, the doors, the windows, the aluminum siding.

The police station parking lot is full. The officers, who have seen their numbers triple since 2006, are coming back from their rounds. They speak of installing alarms in some of the homes claimed by squatters.

The ads are better than those produced before, but they need few shots of enthusiastic crowds cheering him. Otherwise it sounds like a lone voice in the wilderness (which is the image media created among those who don't use web for their news). The ad writers need to think from the perspective of some grandma who has no computer or internet access and all she knows is the mass media smear of him. These ads are largely preaching to the choir.

Also, regarding the spending cuts, he needs to be more specific and say in that same sentence that the main cuts will be from bringing the troups from Europe, Asia... back home (the first ad is a bit repetitive and there is plenty of time to be a bit more specific on this). Otherwise the uninitiated will think first about the danger to their own favorite benefits.

"Ron Paul Radio Ad: Economy"

These are all great!

"The Only One" is the best Ron Paul TV advertisement to date because it finally is comparing him with the other candidates. I honestly don't believe a better ad will come out of any of the recent grassroot-contests, so if people plan future grassroots-fundraising to run ads, they should keep this ad in mind and instead donate to the campaign IMO.
