In 2012, I had the great privilege of volunteering for Ron Paul in New Hampshire with Youth for Ron Paul. In that time, we were welcomed guests at Mr. Sanborn's sports bar. He was very gracious and welcomed all of the volunteers with open arms.
Today, I came across this article about senator Sanborn's response to a college constituent who asked him to reconsider his position on marijuana decriminalization/legalization. What follows is an utterly unacceptable and immature response. This email could've been written by a Ron Paul supporter/volunteer.

I'm saddened that someone who runs a bar that serves alcohol, and who supposedly champions liberty, would not only hold this position but to respond in a childish way to a thoughtful email.
Edit to add: This very forum has organized phone banking/fundraising events for Senator Sanborn. He also endorsed Ron Paul in the last election. I'm dumbfounded as this would be one of the last people I'd expect to react in this way.
