Thomas Massie may delay the bailout... Congress livid with him

I only hope that Massie can see the irony in abusing his power to delay the vote that would pass regardless that bails out the medical industrial complex that we depend on to keep us living in order to protest the liberal establishment economic terrorism that created this crisis.

'Back off' says TX Congressman:

"There's Too Many Rules!"

So, yeah, fuck the U.S. Constitution.

How is he delaying it?

He is allegedly delaying it by insisting his colleagues vote on the record. If it's such a marvelous, necessary, save our asses bill, why wouldn't all these self-styled knights on white horses want to go on the record voting for it?

Well said.

What This is All About

Which other "no" vote has he taken that would be comparable to this one?

Any vote of his in which he votes "Nay" because the bill wasn't in accordance with the U.S. Constitution would be comparable to this one, familydog. Is it wrong for Rep. Massie to take a stand for the rule of law?

So, yeah, $#@! the U.S. Constitution.

At what human cost is it worth if the delay has unintended consequences and does not win any hearts ands minds to our cause. I would argue this is pointless and could delay medication or healthcare in a time of need.

I'm curious to know. What is the libertarian response to helping Americans who are in need financially during a difficult time such as this? If you guys don't support a stimulus bill such as this, what is the alternative?

You're a Trump supporter, so you already have a "Biden" in office; he's just able to remember his lines, unlike the real Biden.

I'm a realist. Go back to before the election and read my posts on Trump. But, unlike 'Never-Trumpers,' I've watched what he has accomplished. For the good. And the bad. And if you can't find any good then you are a 'Never-Trumper.'
You like to think about what you would do if you were POTUS. But, you have no idea what is like. Hell, the only one on these boards that has ever gotten anywhere is Glen Bradley, and his tenure, though the epitome of this boards ideals, was redistricted. For his unmovable beliefs.
Trump, more than any POTUS in our time, has tried to dismantle regulations and unfair trade practices. He's set new records in employment. Even now his directives are changing the rules of the alphabet agencies enacted under the Obama administration.
He's facing the prospect of all his gains that started lifting unemployed Americans off welfare, and therefore out of socialism, evaporating.
Sure would like to see how you would fare under these circumstances. But, we won't. Because, at best, you're an armchair quarterback. Let me know when you at least get a state house seat.

It won’t delay any real medical care. This is a financial bill to bail out banks, airlines and other crony corporatists.

Why do you think i mentioned liberal establishment economic terrorism.

What is Massive delaying? What is the delay? What?

All they have to do to "thwart" this "grandstanding" is vote on the record. Why haven't they done it?

Let's Check Our Presuppositions Here

Who says that a human cost exists if the legislation doesn't pass in a timely fashion? You're assuming that.

Don't misunderstand me. I am not disagreeing with his principles. I call him the only good Congressman left for a reason. However, I'm also realistic enough to know that voting against this is potentially political suicide. People are scared. Scared people do not vote rationally and the voters can sometimes have long memories.

While IU is not exactly libertarian, it is an existing program, and is intended to be the first line of defense. It is a safety net just waiting to be utilized. If it can not be used when needed, it should be abolished.

The medical system which we already spend /6 of the economy on could not handle the load if everyone got sick. They lobbied the government to send people home so they don't get sick. If the medical system red lined hard enough there would be rioting to get rid of the medical industrial complex. I fucking guarantee it.

A lifetime of keeping your own money and investing it how you wish. And if you are unwise..then fuck-off and start all over again.
