Just watched a video of Adam Kokesh at CPAC talking to someone attending who was voting for Santorum (he had a Bachmann button on though) and liked Ron Paul on everything but foreign policy and he began to talk about how Thomas Jefferson fought "Muslim terrorists" known as the "Barbary Pirates". So what was this guy talking about?

Guy is an idiot. The Barbary "pirates" weren't pirates. They were authorized by their government to force the boats of other nations to pay a fee for going through their "national waters". They were, at worst, privateers.

Wasn't aware that the entire Mediterranean Sea belonged to them.

Interesting. BTW, didn't Obama use Thomas Jefferson's Koran during his oath ceremony if I'm not mistaken?

About that dude you are asking about, question should be posed to him what invasion of Iraq that Santorum supported had to do with fighting terrorists? That was more of a violent anti-semitic hate crime motivated by revenge, greed, racism by neocons against people of Iraq who had nothing to do with 9/11 but were of same race/religion as 9/11 hijackers.

It's a bit like saying "Jews killed Jesus." You can use ancient history to pull anything out of your ass you like.

Europeans fought Indians in America and I'm 1/16th Indian. Therefore I own 50% of the State of California. Whatever.

You are VERY mistaken, he used Lincoln's Bible.

Here's a quick little bit of info for ya'll. Did you know that the crescent moon and star symbols on out houses were done in protest of the islamic pirates? Yep, a moon meant the outhouse was womens only, a star meant it was for the men only, both meant it was for both sexes.

Ok, I stand corrected, it was a Congressman and not Obama:

Jan 4, 2007 ... Keith Ellison made history Thursday, becoming the first Muslim ... by taking a
ceremonial oath with a Quran once owned by Thomas Jefferson

I was thrown off by polls that showed almost half of Republicans seeing Obama as an Islamic man. And this news from yesterday:

Evangelist Franklin Graham questions Christianity of Obama and Romney

They never claimed such. Well not outside their territorial waters of North Africa anyway. But they did claim that the Straits were theirs. And the distance is so small that they were probably correct, more or less. I'm sure Spain disagreed s bit. Its a bit like us claiming waters around the US coasts are ours today.
