I believe it's a site to discuss financial topics. Stop trying to be a jerk on a web forum. Oh, and I wish I could get stories published on yahoo... Any suggestions?

Stupid Article.
I will summarize so no one else has to waste time reading it:
The Author had a lot of credit card debt.
Paying the minimum payment did not bring down the principle balance.
The Author then decided to pay 4x the minimum payment per month.
The credit card was consequentially paid off.

Most of the articles he links to are like that.
Of his last 10 posts, 7 were just links to yahoo articles by the same author. He writes a vague title and just posts a link without going into further detail what it's about.
Just look at this thread...."Check out what was on yahoo a month ago" with absolutely no description what the article is about.
And besides this total train wreck, all my other posts started great conversations. Either get in or get out. This thread is obviously dead... Thanks you two. Adios

Why don't you disclose your relationship with the author or mention that you are one and the same?

Any relationship you have to that or any other author, ought to be disclosed. If not, you are in clear violation of many rules here:

So what's up? You wouldn't be the first to post links to their own articles - it is hardly a big deal unless you fail to disclose.
I subscribe to a few different authors and their blogs. Anything from sports to politics. When I get an email update that I find interesting, I like to open it up for conversation. I frequent a few forums, not just this site. Either jump into the conversation or not. I could care less. Like I said, I have started plenty of threads that lead to pretty good conversation.
Well , if , I had , I dunno , maybe 79k in cash ,tomorrow , I could pay off all my debts too. wth ?
