This was it. It will be too long before the next debate. The primaries could start as early as this November (some states can switch to earlier dates) - got the other thing happening in Aug/July. Anyway. This is it - are the seeds set? Is he going to explode again or just level out?

I thought his performance was steady, strong but *oh hum* for the mainstream. Not sure if he is going to make it with tonight's performance (no help from the media for sure).

What do you guys think?

I think more people probably watch the Daily Show and Colbert than these debates. In any case, he wasn't asked enough relevant questions to really make much of an impression, in my opinion.

I don't think he'll explode again. He exploded last time because the rest of the news world reported on Giuliani's argument with him. So unless there is more controversy, I don't think he'll get another big boost.

Guys, take a gander at the comments pages of the crap on the CNN ticker ... pretty heartening!

No probably not, but a big singular boost is not needed necessarily. RP has been growing steadily now in visibility from appearances and word-of-mouth.

The snow ball is rolling, so to speak.

The correct question to ask is "Can we do it?"

It's on our shoulders. He represents the right values and we can not rely on the media to give him coverage. We will have to do it and I know that we can.

Indeed. Can WE do it?

Can we talk to people wherever we go, wear the T-shirts that get people to ask us questions, hand out business cards and fliers with Ron Paul info on them, turn our cars into rolling billboards for Ron Paul, meet up with other Ron Paul supporters and just go out and rally in groups, learn enough about Ron Paul's viewpoints to be able to effectively communicate his viewpoints to those not yet familiar with him?

It's up to us to get his name out.
It's up to us to answer the questions people ask about him.
It's up to us to be the best possible advertisement a candidate could hope for.

Let's do it.
Let's save liberty.

Yeah, he's right. It's really up to us to make a difference. Come on, guys. You didn't expect CNN to just *give* us the debates because we're so passionate, did you? Yeah right! We've been doing good, and keep have to do good. We can't give up when we still have 6 months until the primaries. Come on, we have a LOOONGGG summer to have fun !! and campaign!!! :)

The debates are simply good for our YouTube friend/geniuses to work their magic. Maybe this one wasn't the best, but it wasn't horrible. We still have a long way to go.

The thing that worries me the most, though, is the other candidates clearly stealing Ron Paul's popular ideas that sets him apart. *That* I really do not like.

All I can say if Giuliani gets in, America is hosed. It'll be like four more years of baby Bush.

He's going to explode again in popularity as time goes on. Petraeus comes back with his observations in September, and we already know what will happen at the time. Iraq very likely won't get better, and the positions will be starker.

CNN sucks. This isn't surprising news.

Get out from behind your keyboard and do something for Ron!!

If you think Ron Paul lost it on tonight you are so lost. As others on this post have said, it is up to us (YOU) to win this for Ron Paul.

I am not just saying that. I have been talking to real people not on the internet, and spent my last Friday night parading around downtown Austin Texas for the ROT Biker Rally. I bet I talked to 50 different people about RP, and no joke I know tens of thousands saw my RP sign.

So get out and walk the walk. I like everyone on here, but it kind of disgusts me to hear some of the people on here who just hide behind their keyboard. Trust me, getting out in public and talking about Dr. Paul is the most empowering thing you will ever do. Spread the WORD!
