...but how about we approach the Amish? Or are they strictly against voting?

I don't think 249,000 people spread out over four states and Ontario are going to win us a primary.
Well they may help here in PA. They just busted an Amish farmer in a year long sting for transporting raw milk over state lines to Maryland. They set him up. They have also confiscated menonites milking equipment and arrested them for the sale of raw milk. Ron just introduced his bill to legalize raw milk. This should have broad appeal to all farming communites. Theres a Livestock Auction a block away from me and I intend to go there on Mondays and hand out campaign materials as soon as we have some updated stuff. Lots of farmers and Amish there every Monday.

Well it couldn't hurt, either, and it seems if we could get a few on board they would be able to communicate the message to the rest.
49,750 votes in Ohio, 40,100 in Pennsylvania, 32,650 votes in Indiana, 10,250 votes in Wisconsin ext. in a Republican primary election doesn't really seem that bad. As a matter of fact, its great!
“We hate that abortion issue,” said Sam Stolztfus, 60, an Amish farmer and gazebo maker in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County, where an estimated 27,000 Amish live. “We’re totally against it. And as far as gay issues, that’s completely contrary to the Bible.”
But experts believe fewer than 10 percent of Amish ever vote, and the prospect of them turning out in great numbers in November is “not going to happen,” Kraybill [Sociologist of Anabaptist studies at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster] said. “These things occur gradually, over 30 to 40 years — not quickly.”
Well you might have tough time selling them on gay rights and abortion: GOP courts Amish votes in swing states
Also consider that the time and effort might not have as much of a payoff as you'd expect.
Why would the Amish be registered to vote?

Because the laws affect all the same.
