I feel the same, I hate to say it. We have seen what Americans are made of now. They will not listen to REASON. They like showmanship. They even liked a President hopeful that CRIED on national TV. There is too much of Oprah in these people. Dr. Paul can show how he REALLY is, after he is ELECTED. For now he has to show the people who his opponents are, as much as he dislikes personal attacks. They have NO integrity and it needs to come OUT. This "flip-flop" thing sounds almost "cute" when someone is accused of it. How about hard facts!
Huck was indicted 14 times for misappropriation of FUNDS..this is public record! Convicted and fined 5 of those times..how many other times did he not get caught? He even destroyed all the hard drives when he left office. This guy is a crook. On and ON with these people. Hillary took illegal contributions..obama has so much dirt behind him he looks like a steamshovel..COME ON>..

I think the real question here is how do we take Ron Paul's platform and deliver an emotionally appealing message from it.

Attack ads or no attack ads, we have to distill the content volume of Dr. Paul's positions down to something people can digest in small, but frequent doses.

The biggest mistake we can make is talking to people as though they are stupid or ignorant. The problem is, most people don't have the time for investigating politics.

You can't give them any more than they have time for.

I think it's time for the grassroots to devise an anonymous swift-boat strategy. Integrity is not being a loser. I would imagine that Ron Paul has far more integrity than most of us. I am not above supporting a swift-boat movement against Huck, McCain and Obama, our three rivals.

What's more, ads discussing their records are not really unseemly anyway.

I am serious here, as a Republican and a man of sense, there is NO way I want Hillary beating Obama..there is a very good chance the dems will win the general election, and I DO NOT WANT HILLARY.

You are 100% correct.

But, "attack ads" aren't really negative at all if one just simply states the historical facts of Paul's competitors. It can be consistent with the libertarian view that information should be presented accurately for the individual to decide.
