Ok so recent polls have showed 75-80% of Americans dont want the war in Iraq....but yet the most PRO WAR candidate John McCain that has stated over and over that he wants to stay in Iraq for ever how long it takes..."100 years"..wtf...wins with ease...this doesnt add up?

Can somone please tell me wtf is goin on? Why do these numbers clash so badly?...it just doesnt make sense to me at all, i really dont thing McCain is "really" winning this thing....

Any comments please...

Americans are ignorant. McCain supported "the surge" and the media is telling us that it is working. Violence is down....blah, blah, blah....

I don't get it either, and it makes me angry.

Well what doesnt make any sense at all is McCain will be ANOTHER Bush no doubt....so i can already see McCain getting into Office and then 1 yr down the line 80% of the American people hate him...how does this happen?
It really makes me think that it doesnt matter if you vote...we do not have a choice in who wins....Its not who votes it who counts the votes....the same thing that happens in "Gangs of New York"

I don't think everyone who screams (or in your case implies) vote fraud really comprehends the stupidty of the average American. They outnumber the intelligent in DROVES.

If close to 100% of Democrats are opposed to the war, and Democrats are about 50% of the people, then that means that only 40% of Republicans oppose the war. Of these 40%, there is some significant percentage that oppose the war but do not see it as a terribly important issue.

Also, this.

The die hard republicans are die hard war mongers to the bloody end.

Most of the anti-war people have moved to the democrats side. Thats why the democrat voter turnout out numbers republican voter turnout by a whole lot.

Just like the polls say, most people in the country are against the war and they think democrats are going to save the day for whatever bullshit reason. Bush and his buddies have turned most of the country against the word "republican".

The republican label is not a popular thing to be calling yourself this election. I kind of think that a 3rd party candidate would be accepted better than any republican.

It's still going to take a miracle to beat any democrat this election.

dumbest

George Bush is near the end of his second term in the White House. Many voters are dumbasses, and Republicans have been dumbest for many years.

"Thats why the democrat voter turnout out numbers republican voter turnout by a whole lot." .. .and also Democrat fundraising is FAR ahead of Republican fundraising. The GOP is going to get demolished in Nov.
The sad thing is.. the Dems will vote in Hillary who will keep us in the empire/police/war business until we're bankrupt.

So basically the answer is the majority are just stupid....and only vote for who is "cool" in the eyes of the main media...? wow this country is going down..and it seems to be picking up the pace in the last 6-12 months.
This is a shame where this country is headed...national id cards, RFID tracking chips in them. Next thing you know itll be just like Nazi Germany..."Papers please" or you goto jail. All because of "terrorist".

Ron Paul is the only one that can save the sinking republican ship. It looks like they want to sink it on purpose.

The only fight for president I can see at the moment is Hillary VS Obama. One of those will be our next president unless a miracle happens.

Ron Paul should jump off of the sinking ship right before it goes under and run 3rd party or whatever.

Majority of Americans are STUPID. watch reruns of "street smarts" if you doubt that truth.

Global warming hysteria proves it.

It's simple. The media has too powerful a grip on people. When they tune out, they'll tune right into what really makes sense.

I'm making a case. Television has ruined this country.

Get this. I go into Walmart to shop and bring some brochures with me in case I give some out. So I saw this guy just sitting, waiting by the pharmacy, and I offer him one (these are 12 page brochures) to read. "NO" he says nastily, "I am voting for Hillary".
So I said, politely, "Oh? What issues are important to you?" He paused a bit, and then said (almost angrily) "She did a damn good job of running this country for 8 years, and I am sure she can continue to." I think I looked very shocked because I could find not a word to say. Then he finished, "Well, her husband did, but everyone knows it was her that was running it". I just walked away without a word. What cd I say?

Need I say more?

The Bell Curve

G... Many voters are dumbasses, and Republicans have been dumbest for many years.

The Bell Curve doesn't discriminate between the parties.

The fact is most of the warmonger voters are spirited enough to vote,
while the middle of the pack can't be stirred long enough to even change channels.

Television is the root of much evil, and it's debilitating effect on intellect prevails.

When the oil runs out in February of 2009 things will be a lot easier for
couch potatoes to comprehend. Surely by then CNN will be ready with a fitting
blame game to renew and re-energize the dumbing-down of our society.

Edit:
After posting I realized you were seeking an intelligent insight into illogical behavior.
The crux of the issue is that behavior is by definition illogical. It is, however, a scripted program.
My condolences, but it is our turn to do the programming.:D

Voter Fraud -- the powers that be want McCain right now, so they're rigging the Primaries, Controlled Media. In reality, nobody likes McCain.

Either that or the Sheeple are so stupid, they're just voting for who they think is winning so far.
