Things YOU can do to HELP MAINE TODAY - workers needed - LET IT NOT BE SAID WE DID NOTHING

How much have people been bidding? I've just put $2.00, and I'm still nowhere close to running out of the $75 credit.

Seems like the click through rate went up once I switched to a picture of Ron Paul's face.

I bid $3. I've spent $50, just upped it to $60, might keep going. I'm getting click throughs. Spent $50, reach is 18K. Targeting males 18-34 in Androscoggin, York, Oxford, Portland, South Portland, Brunswick. Average number of exposures is 5.5.

Once I changed the photo to be Ron Paul's picture, the number of clicks went way up:

2,900 of 10k reach
6.3 impressions
223 social reach
1 connection
21 clicks
0.115% click rate

Bid $2 but only cost $0.83 CPC.

mostly 18-34 males - Andro, the right York zips, the right Oxford Zips, Portland, South Portland and Brunswick.

have a fairly close to apples to apples comparison.

About the same number of impressions in Andro, Portland, York/Sanford -

35K impressions - 18 clicks - York
38K impressions - 17 clicks - Andro
35K impressions - 10 clicks - Portland

oxford - no clicks - 3K impressions
brunswick - no clicks - 8K impressions
south portland - 3 clicks - 14K impressions
new gloucester - 3 clicks (all in the last hour) - 3K impressions

I hope these facebook ads got or get a few 18-34 males to the caucuses today

Yes, and I'm still getting new clicks even today which tells me the demographic isn't fully saturated yet. We need to absolutely pound these people with ads for the next few hours.

^^^^Great idea. I like this a lot.
Can anyone at all explain why they think it's a good idea to remind our opponents supporters abou the caucus? Dammit stop!
The 5% who are converted by your awesome ad will be overwhelmed by the other 95% who are still supporting there guy and have now been reminded to go vote. Stop!

I really agree with this. If you use other candidates or fox news type buzz words you are doing GOTV on OTHER people's candidats. I didn't use C4L or Ron as a limiter myself, but that is because I wanted independents who are just starting to know that Ron is for civil liberties to go, not just hard core supporters. But I would never aim it toward another candidate likes or O'Reilly or something like that. I wish I could put a 'not' those guys, frankly.

since I'm not getting any clicks I could probably do another ad, I was thinking of one aimed towards those new caucuses they are setting up without notice. It would be a public service to try to tell people when and where their caucuses were.

Explain why we want Gingrich, Romney & Santorum supporters at these caucuses? The establishment is obviously already planning to send their men there - why help them??

People on here are becoming hysterical. Not single project should be done. Everyone criticyze everything from Phone from home to canvassing.

Calm down. My facebook ads used picture of Reagan and were linked to Ron Paul campaign youtube ads.
I did not targert Maine or urge people to GOTV. If you think running ads is bad because other candidates supporters will see them and GOTV for their candidate then official campaign is screwing big time with all those ads...

If you want Ron voters in Maine to GOTV then use tags as liberty independant etc. and information to get them to vote.

If your ad is for entire US (as my was because It was made at begining of "free facebook ads project") then dont waste clicks on people who are already going to vote for Ron.

I don't know how to change the bid? How does it matter? I just went with the 'recommended' bid...

The entire purpose of our 3 posts was to discourage people from targeting newtmittrick supporters in Maine with ads about the caucuses. Your post and the post you quoted were discussing doing this. If you didn't do this then good. National ads trying to convince newtmittrick "likers" to switch to Ron Paul are probably not super productive but at least they aren't damaging.

I'll calm down when we win.

I hope this on-line advertising works, but boots on the ground and one-to-one Campaigning by Maine RP Supporters will win the day.

I pray that Ron not Campaigning hard in Maine Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week did not cost him and us our first win.!!!

I don't know how to change the bid? How does it matter? I just went with the 'recommended' bid...
In the list of ads or campaign+ads, hover over your bid price (2nd-from-right column) and you should see an edit icon. Just set it there, and I don't think it'll go through a review process.

It's probably too late to have much more effect with Facebook ads. I have my campaign scheduled:

Budget $75.00 Lifetime
Duration (Pacific Time) 02/09/2012 10:17am – 02/11/2012 10:00am

So just 25 minutes left.

But it seems like it was good timing anyway!

Social Reach: 311
Connections: 2
Clicks: 78
CTR: 0.148%
Spent: $73.82

My ads have only been running for the past day so I haven't gotten too many hits.

Reach 915
Freq 14.5
Clicks 14
CTR 0.105%
Spent $7.51

I think between all of us in this thread, we pretty much blanketed every Ron Paul supporter in Maine on Facebook with ads!

OK, well mine got viewed but not many clicks so I'm going to fill in the amount to make an ad for Washington or whereever we think is the next best place. I am going to look at what you did.

Those who got leftover money for their campaign, lets advertise the Money bomb. Right now I am targeting Ron Paul supporters in ND, WA, and AK to remind them of a moneybomb on 2/14. My reasoning: if someone donates to Ron Paul, more than likely they will go out and caucus for him. So I am hitting the upcoming caucus states.

Or I could find out where the later caucuses in Maine are because the party is setting them up for after today as well, to get delegates under the radar and we need to target those.

Well, I officially used up all $75 of the free credits.
