Things YOU can do to HELP MAINE TODAY - workers needed - LET IT NOT BE SAID WE DID NOTHING

Thanks for the feedback.

Have adapted all three of my ads for targeting the caucus locations on Saturday.
Have dropped the rival candidate populations.

I think the conservative TV and radio crowd is a decent population to go after. Most conservatives where I'm from are sick of the wars and crony capitalism. But perhaps it's too late in Maine to convert that crowd. Just trying to help out any way I can.

Not to beat a dead horse but I missed this earlier so I want to mention it again:

Anyone who "likes" bill oreilly, Sean hannity, etc. probably hates Ron Paul. Those guys bash him constantly and remember we aren't even talkin about the average rush/Sean/bill listener. We're talking abou the people who like them enough to actually click "like" on Facebook. Odds are overwhelming they won't be voting for Ron regardless of how nice the ad is. Odds are much better they'll say "hey, the caucus is tomorrow, I better go vote for Romney"

I'm begging here.

Young males and already IDd supporters. Please please pretty please.

Agree with you. I'm doing 18-34 males in Andro, Oxford, York, Portland, South Portland and Brunswick.

I agree 100%. I think the newspaper ad idea is especially good if we can find the paper(s) that serve the few remaining towns with caucuses.

Here's the Facebook ads I've been running for the last 2 weeks or so if anyone is looking for ideas:

View attachment 1249View attachment 1250View attachment 1251View attachment 1252View attachment 1253

This ad targets 4,580 users:
  • who live in the United States
  • who live in Maine
  • who like #Campaign for Liberty, #Libertarian Party (United States), #Rand Paul or #Ron Paul
Suggested Bid: $0.50 - 0.99 USD

These all target the above categories with the Carol pic targeted to specifically females and the one with the girls in the water targeted to males. The 2 with the best click through rates are the girls in the water and the close up of Dr. Paul's face. I really probably should change up the text. And if several people are running different ones that should help greatly with saturation.

Stats so far:

According to your stats - you have hit everyone 100 times. about 10 % have clicked through.

We have to try and win over the newt gingrich voters. Let's them know that a vote for Ron Paul in Maine is like a vote against romney which would help Newt

There were very very few Newt Gingrich voters in Maine that I could see last weekend.

What we want to do is find people who like Ron Paul already and get them to go to the caucus.

Focus on "how to vote"

And it's been 5 hours and no approval of my ads.
What text content, image, link are you using? My first ad was approved in probably less than 1 hour. Any edits (to target audience) got approved in a few minutes.

my ad was approved overnight, but it was after the 12 hour window. I now have new targeting ideas from this thread, but am hesitant to alter it or they might need to approve it again. If I just add some 'likes' to target it more to our folks, will that open the approval process again?

It triggered another approval for me when I added to the target audience. However these were very fast to get approved.

I just posted a new ad to Maine Ron Paul people linking to http://ronpauldelegates.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/flyer-for-caucusassembliesevents/ reminding people to print flyers for nearby caucuses and reminding about delegates. I'll let you know how long it takes me to get it approved.

I posted another ad for all the towns caucusing on Saturday that aren't Portland or in Androscoggin (those got their own). The copy now reads:

Ron Paul Can WIN Maine!
ronpaul2012.com
This Saturday, Mainers like you can make history supporting the only HONEST Presidential candidate. Click to find your caucus and VOTE!

All three were approved overnight and have chewed through a little less than half my budget this morning. 37 clicks.

Yes. One for within 10 miles of Portland, one for Androscoggin County, and one for the caucusing towns over the rest of Maine.

make your own ad....

He's right though - the ad you showed has too many capitals. Facebook flags that as 'spam' - did it eventually get approved?

p.s. these ads = important! (since the difference between 1st and 2nd could be less than a few hundred votes).
