Fantastic!

We have to try and win over the newt gingrich voters. Let's them know that a vote for Ron Paul in Maine is like a vote against romney which would help Newt

why target ron paul supporters... i know i get ALOT of wasted ads on facebook ... TARGET OTHER PEOPLE'S SUPPORTERS!

Hardly anyone votes in ME. Even though Ron Paul supporters are only 10% to 20% of the Republicans in ME, that is way more than enough to win. If just 25% of Ron Paul supporters in ME actually voted, we would win. Again, people don't vote in the ME caucus so getting our people to vote is all it takes to win big.

Intrade has had active Maine contracts up for about a week or so but Intrade just suspended
the Virginia markets due to the unique nature of the primary ballot. if you Intrade gamble, vote
Ron Paul 1st,2nd, and 3rd in Maine to cover thy bets but i think he's about to win big in Maine!

From my understanding, Portland isn't exactly the most conservative place. Best to play up Ron's anti-war and economic credentials.

I wouldn't waste by buying 3rd.

Just to be clear, you can get both the $50 and $25 credit, and you can mark the apps as only visible to "only me." The credit code is only asked after you finish making the ad and are about to pay.

You might be able to add it as a funding source here, although I didn't try before because I didn't know about this link:

FYI I made another ad targeting Androscoggin County (Lewiston) as their county-wide caucus is Saturday. I chose that one because 8% of the state's population lives there.

I might make some more tonight using my wife's FB coupons. Will keep this thread posted.

I +repped you but again I personally don't like the second ad. Targeting people who "like" Hannity, Foxnews, and especially Santorum and trying to sell them on the anti-war views of Ron Paul seems counterproductive. More likely its just alerting them to the presence of the caucus and reminding them to go vote against Ron.

I especially would ask you to remove the #Mitt Romney tag (among others). The odds of someone who has "liked" Mitt Romney on Facebook changing their vote to Ron from a single anti-war youtube are extremely small IMO. Again, I think you're actually increasing turnout for our competition.

This is what happens when you have people who know absolutely nothing about marketing running ads.

The effort needs to be to get Ron Paul supporters to the caucus.

Anyone tracking their stats so far? Mine has an estimated reach of 14k for people in the caucus towns "who like #Bill O'Reilly (political commentator), #Conservatism, #Fox News Channel, #Glenn Beck, #Laura Ingraham, #Mark Levin, #Republican Party (United States), #Rush Limbaugh, #Sarah Palin, #Sean Hannity, #Tea Party movement, #Tea Party Patriots or conservative"

1 click so far in 1 hour? 573 people with 4.7 views each.

I think this^^^^ is a big mistake.

Those people who like #Rush Limbaugh, Palin, Levin, Hannity, etc... are way more likely to vote for one of the other 3 no matter how good of an ad or link we give them. We are doing GOTV work for our competition.

I agree. We need ads targeted to people in the towns that have not caucused yet and who like Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Libertarian Party, Campaign for Liberty, etc.

This is also A LOT cheaper than running issue ads targeted to broad audiences and will more than likely lead to votes than issue ads.

From my experience in Iowa and Nevada, most people know when to caucus but need an extra push to get them out. So I doubt the ad is reminding them that the caucus is coming up. The only difference is then.. say a Romney supporter sees the ad and feels that Ron Paul really is a threat because he's the only one electable... and misses some steps in logic and decides to make sure he votes for Romney.

The Bill Oreilly, etc. crowd probably includes the super-voters that I went door-to-door with these talking points, so given the flyer I have, it's targeting the right crowd.

Thanks for the feedback.

Have adapted all three of my ads for targeting the caucus locations on Saturday.
Have dropped the rival candidate populations.

I think the conservative TV and radio crowd is a decent population to go after. Most conservatives where I'm from are sick of the wars and crony capitalism. But perhaps it's too late in Maine to convert that crowd. Just trying to help out any way I can.
