Friggin irks me no one will wake up and vote for Paul instead. At least he won't shove a bible up everyone's blowhole and impose a 30%+ "fair" tax on everyone.

If Romney was still in the race, they'd vote for Romney. If Huck was out, it would be Ron Paul with 60%+ of the vote in VA.

This is why Huckafuck wont drop out, so to take the votes and attention from Paul......

Yeah, a bunch of peeps here were saying that they really like Ron Paul but he can't win so they voted for Who Would Jesus Bomb? huckabee. *sigh*

its actually a 23% fair tax and its a BAD idea...i heard something about a 1 tax from that dude in FL sounds sick 1% on everything no exemptions but i know nothing about this shit hahahah

Well VA is the home of Pat Robertson, and his followers probably haven't even heard of Ron Paul or if so don't realize he's a devote Christian. All they see is Huckabee, a preacher man, and that's all that matters.

Yeah, they'd be happy in a theocracy as long as their religion is running it. There are none so blind as those who cannot see the unintended consequences...

sad fact, but Americas are ignorant....big surprise right!

Most people are scared because they NEED the media to bless a candidate for them. McCain has been "annointed" but they have still made it acceptable to vote for Huckabee. But as we know Dr. Paul has been blacked out....if they don't have their nanny-media telling them it's ok to vote for someone they won't.

Sad fact....but Americas ARE ignorant. This is what we are charged with. To educate a nation and revive the independent spirit of liberty and freedom!

I agree.

Maybe we need a new slogan: "I'm a Christian too"

Well Romney still had a lot of provisional ballots I bet.

Anyways, is Virginia all or nothing? Because if so McCain might kill off Huck with a win, on the flipside a Win would really help give Huck some momentum and hopefully we'll get a brokered convention.

All of the candidates that applied to be on the Virginia ballot are on the ballot.. meaning people could vote for Paul, McCain, Huck, Romney, Giuliani, or Thompson.

Yes the Republican primary here is winner take all.

Huckabee plus Paul beats Mccain.

If Huckabee would drop out, we would win.

Vote Ron Paul!

Let the Huckster show that McCain is the wrong choice.

Then when McCain implodes (or explodes, I hear people saying they want to chant "Songbird" at his rallies to get him to show his anger to the cameras)....only Dr. Ron Paul will be left standing!

It's 30%, if you calculated it like every other sales tax. Think about it: your local 6% sales tax is $0.06 added to every $1 spent. When Huckabee says that his "Fair" tax proposal adds $0.30 to every $1 spent, it's actually a a 30% sales tax. They are just making it sound better to the sheeple by saying 23% (0.30/(1.+0.30)) instead of the conventional 0.30/1.0.

Not true. The whole theory behind the fair tax was to make it revenue neutral (No more additional tax than what is collected now). They projected that that amount would be about 23%. The GOOD things about the fair tax are: 1) in theory, eliminates all the loopholes. 2) There is no accounting necessary (estimated that 30% of a company's resources are spent figuring its liabilities to the government). 3) Eliminates IRS as a collection agency - huge reduction in size of government. 4) In theory, it eliminates most of the lobbying (85% of lobbying is done for favorable tax treatments).

Biggest PROBLEMS with the fair tax: 1) Government would just keep raising the amount. 2) The subsidies (refunds) due to people that now don't pay any tax (over 50% of Americans) would be a nightmare to administer.

Fair tax concept has been around for a long time.....NOT a Huckabee idea.
