"There isn't anything I wouldn't do to see Rand Paul get in the Senate." Gov Gary....

That's good. I hope he feels the same way if/when Ron decides to run for president in 2012 :)

Ron will be too old to win. I'm sure he would support him but, 77 year old men don't get elected for a first term. Reagan was 69 and that was thought as old. Ron Paul will be 1 year younger than Reagan was when he left office.

Yep I know this is what I think. Ron Paul is an incredible man, and I would still support him in the primaries against anyone but rhe reality is 77 is darn old for POTUS. means he would be 85 after two terms. Being POTUS is not an easy job.

BUt if he got in there, I would support him. I just can't see it happening. Maybe I will be wrong, and I would gladly be wrong about this.

Gary just has that presidential look to him. But there is a much better chance of Ron Paul getting elected. A self admitted pot-smoking (gary even said he smoked often) libertarian-esque candidate will never get the nod in the Republican party

Ron is my first choice, but I would work tirelessly for Gary Johnson for POTUS as well. Especially if he tagged Ron Paul for Treasury Secretary!

Rand said at the farm bureau his grandpa used a hand hoe and worked an acre until he was 90 years old.

Ron has good genes.

While I know many people would like to get behind Johnson for a future run - he just doesn't have the extemporaeous speaking style that Paul (or Schiff) have. Maybe touring and speaking for a year will help him develop more edge, though.

Exactly! It's Ron Paul or bust! He's the only liberty candidate remotely close to winning regardless of the odds or the age. There is no other in the liberty movement at this moment bettered positioned to win than Ron Paul. Gary Johnson should try and help Ron raise money and then Ron can appoint him as "drug czar" lol.

Aside from the liberty candidates all others are establishment hacks, especially Romney, Huckabee, Newt, Palin, and so on. So you guys not wanting to support Ron Paul or who are wavering based on his age I'd like to know who's got better name recognition, record, fund raising prowess and better position than Paul at this point? Hell, he's polling in the high single digits to low double digits in most polls and is drawing 13% in New Hampshire already. Come on folks, there's no need to give up on the man now, lets finish the game we started shall we?

I often wonder, being a bit "emotional" myself about my belief in liberty, what kind of toll it takes on Ron Paul to continually squelch the frustration over being lied about again and again and again.

What I find would be an exceptionally strong strategy for all liberty lovers, would be not only having Ron Paul in the running but also at least ONE OTHER viable candidate endorsing similarly principled views. I have no idea about the "legality" of a potential "collusion" between 2 candidates for POTUS (or any other office for that matter), but if we can have entire political parties that supposed "collude" for a specific purpose, why not 2 candidates?

Has anyone seen, heard, thought of anything similar?

Though I've seen his name referenced often, this is the first time I've ever watched an interview of him in his own words. I like what he says, does he also walk the walk?
