The Willis Report on FOX BIZ Covering "Is Ron Paul being Ignore By Media?" 8/16 @ 5-6PM/ET

Gerri Willis of the Willis Report on FOX BUSINESS will be covering the media censorship of Ron Paul. I know she's never been a huge fan of RP, but, it is more coverage for RP.

Gerri Willis joined Fox Business Network (FBN) in March of 2010. She is the host of The Willis Report (5-6PM/ET)

Is Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) being ignored by the media? RT w/ your opinion - It's one of the topics we're covering in tonight's show.

Bret Baier on FoxNews was just talking about how Paul has been ignored. I found that surprising. Points for Bret.

There are some hear who say there's a solid media conspiracy. I think it's simpler than that: We fight against ignorance, nothing more.

Educate the reporters and there's hope, and that's what we've been doing the last 3 days.

i herd bret also kudos for him. i dont have a twitter account but i mgiht make one to give her my point of view.

That's great. Too bad Fox business doesn't remotely have the same coverage as the media Ron wasn't given, and had earned. MB gets five Sunday network news programs and Ron Paul, less than one percent behind her in a straw poll to determine prevailing winds, gets NONE.

Honestly, when they sauy that I think people just use it as shorthand for the disrespect he is shown by media in contrast to them pushing their favorite candidates which will help their own corporate interests. Individuals in media think he would be bad for their special interests, they don't need a conspiracy. Unfortunately, that shorthand is like 'sheeple', it turns people off because it makes others think you haven't put deep thought into the issue.

Bret Baier, the moderator @ the Iowa Debate that *signed* after Ron Paul's response to Iran? The part that Jon Stewart himself exposed with video coverage. Bret Baier, that sat on those directors chairs on Sunday morning in front of the Iowa State Fair, with the rest of the FOX NEOCON cast pushing Bachmann, Perry, and Romney. Jon made fun of Mike Wallace's comment of a 4th(Jon Huntsman), to Bret and company. Bret didn't object at all. FOX HYPOCRITES

So, all this censorship of Ron Paul has BLOWBACK on MSM, and now since it's a huge trend, (THANX Jon Stewart/Daily Show/Comedy Central/Grassroots/etc) FOX, I believe, wants to capitalize on it for viewership ratings, when it is FOX/NEWSCORP that started the censorship and marginalization of Ron Paul. It will be interesting to see how Gerri Willis and her appointed cast of bias pundits attempt to spin this. Hopefully they do the right thing, but it's truly the producers that control the outcome on many of these shows.

But it's looking more and more like the ignoring of Ron Paul is becoming a bigger story than the coverage would have been. That's thanks to the internet and to Ron Paul fans. If there's one thing that media people know it's that if you write about Ron Paul, you will get a lot of internet hits. And if you write good things about RP you will get a lot of "likes." So our job is to continue to play the role of enforcer. Be sure to check out these stories and give them lots of hugs and likes.

IDK if this is the video being talked about in the OP but I just found this on YouTube:

Ron Paul Supporters Call Out MSM For Not Adding Him To "Top Tier Poll"!

I saw this as well. I'm not giving him any points. Did you notice who Jon Stewart was ridiculing for saying "I think that's fair to say" in regard to who was "top tier"? It was Bret Baier. He's just covering his own ass now because he got made a fool of by Stewart.

Brett's knee jerk reaction when someone suggested Ron might win the Ames straw poll was to ask 'So then, is it the second place person who is the real story?' They are trying to show they are 'objective'.

Agreed. The media is just rearranging chairs to save face. This is always less damaging to them, than to actually report on Ron Paul's constant wins.

So they are playing this game. Bret got called BS and is now playing to part in an attempt to keep a shred of credibility.

It's a mind game. They know damn well what they're doing. When no one's looking - they say "oppsie!" then continue the SAME formula: Ignore, Spin, Admit "Mistake", Repeat.

Actually, we're also fighting against ourselves. I'm sure that some of this blackout is due to our legion storming every poll. We give them an excuse to ignore us. Hell, we practically teach them to.

We see it as the media writing the election narrative. When we storm their polls, they see it as Ron Paul supporters trying to write the narrative. So do you know what we get? Blowback.

I would agree with that where angry spam emails and comments that aren't substantive are concerned. But not so much on polls. So long as people don't cheat, handing them around is expected. Why would they put up a poll if not to get people's views? We are just giving them ours.

Cmon - do you think they would be fair to us if we were polite little citizens and didn't take part in what we are passionate about? I don't think so.

I'm wondering how much of a leash that fox allows its anchors...?

Its clear that Brett was part of the theatrics during the debate. Twice. He did the eye-roll, sigh, after the Iran question. He also did the same expression again at the end of the debates in response to the "GO RONPAUL" loud mouth - he even acknowledged it. Later, Brett also was in agreement with "top tier" remarks, and the discussion of Mr. Frothy.... I used to have a little respect for Brett, but he's no better than Mr WallAss. The black out is brazen, and clearly deliberate - it will certainly work to our benefit, as all of Fox's enemies will jump at the opportunity to expose their lack of truth in advertising (fair and balanced, my a$$)

The result of the blackout will be more coverage by fox competition, and then coverage by fox in an effort to self preserve. I hope the morons at fox keep being morons, they've been one of our best allies, albeit inadvertently.

I don't know. I can't know. But I do know that, if I were in their place feeling the wrath of a "6-10%" candidate's supporters, I'd feel like they were trying to manipulate the media and write their own narrative.

Of course, I'm not commenting either way whether this is really bad for us. The attention that we're getting for the blackout is gold, for now.

So maybe that's a new one for the political playbook. Prove you have a chance, but have convinced the media to ignore you.

Edit: actually, it's probably nothing new.
