I showed this vid to a good friend a few days ago, and was like "I will send this to everyone in the know". nice post man!
 
That video was awesome.

I want to leave the farm, like the bird. The problem is that you can't leave the farm. The entire Earth is the farm.

I love it. Saved it and have shown it. But I would add some.
There are 2 perspectives that are missed, One of Faith and one Secular.
They were not addressed in this film. And the both deal with the issue of Sovereignty.

The American experiment. Though unfortunately in retrograde at the moment, It's focus was on individual sovereignty. It's focus on individual rights and intended to limit government controls.
This has largely been lost due to lack of vigilance, and needs to be regained.

The other is Faith in Christ (not religion) . Though religion has been used as a form of control since the beginning, Faith in Christ is different. Christ's resurrection freed us from the fear of death, and from the control of man made systems.
By faith we are sovereign Kings and priests.

Reclaim your own Sovereignty.

I'll have to point out that I came into this movement in 2007 as an Athiest. I have since become more of a spiritual person. But I don't worship Jesus Christ, or any other religion. I don't fear death, and I also claim my own sovereignty.

I believe you are wrong to claim that it takes Faith in Christ. That may be the case for the others, but not me. I'd like you to consider that.

100% totally agree . i would have to say a good portion of so-called right-wingers and Christians want the Constitution just for themselves and NO ONE ELSE!!

a major problem with corruption in the failed biggovgop is the Christian -right. note not all but many want freedom and liberty for themselves and no one else.

i feel the major problem with the GOP is the neo-cons and many Christians!!!!

i can prove this locally on many issues such as decrim of marijuana and the undeclared wars. the biggest supporters of undeclared wars and the failed drug war are neo-cons and many Christians. they do not believe in our constitution unless it is for their own purposes and agendas!! that is how i see it and live it in our local politics!! i plan on calling out everyone of them for their hypocrisy! enough is enough.

TO ME THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED IF WE ARE TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE FAILED GOP and THE TEA PARTY. it is time for Christians and right-wingers to self-reflect!!!!!!!! if they cannot do this themselves. then i feel the GOP and tea party will be USELESS!!

I did very clearly point that there are TWO perspectives. Both Faith and Secular.

I suppose now this will degenerate into the usual Christian bashing without even a mention of the other perspective.

Excellent overall. However, the assertion that "to see the farm is to leave it" does appear to me to fail, almost necessarily. Many people see, yet remain. Fear and/or lassitude or even self-interest keep people in their stalls, chewing their cud. To see the farm is but the first necessary step in leaving it. Gathering the nerve to leave is another. Having a plan for proceeding may not be absolutely essential, but is most likely quite helpful as well. The video fails significantly in this one regard - it points out the problem yet offers no solutions save awareness, which in itself is insufficient.

A followup video outlining courses of action, even if only at higher levels might be helpful. In an indirect way this bit illustrates the perennial truth of Culhane's Law that people are, by and large, morons. Many (most??) people appear unable to so much as breathe without someone to tell them when, where, and how. There is a huge proportion of the human race that, like cattle, has become utterly incapable of making decisions for themselves for anything more complicated than what porn site to visit. This is one factor that leads me to suspect that the only possible salvation the human race will ever see can come but in the wake of global annihilation of entire populations - literally death by the billions. It's a really shitty revelation, but it stares me in the kisser and no amount of reasoning or hopefulness has been successful in dislodging it from its position in my thoughts. The further I trod the path of life the more solidly I come to believe that we are, on the whole, doomed.

But I strongly agree with the conclusion that the only way to live well is in a truly free and non-violent culture - stateless. The narrative implies anarchy and I am not opposed to that in the least. The "state" is a grand fiction - a non-entity that exists but in the minds of human beings. It is so very uneeded, yet even very intelligent and well-educated people seem unable or unwilling to accept that life without "the state" could be anything better than a nihilistic nightmare, reinforcing the narratives emphasis on the power of fear to control even in a self-policing mode where the cattle pen themselves.

What a nightmare is this world.

I believe this was addressed clearly. First and foremost was the statement that economic freedom is what fed the pig of government. It was likewise asserted, and accurately IMO, that only a free, non-violent, and stateless culture can sustain itself indefinitely. Where there is state, there are the state's lapdogs and other parasites who will work tirelessly to latch on and take a free ride.

As to vigilance, there may be no amount of that which is likely to arise that would keep the size of "state" down indefinitely. Preserving freedom requires intelligence, education, and an attitude if eternal and absolute intolerance in order to succeed. Most people appear all to susceptible to lapses in all of these and all too willing to forget about freedom in exchange for a free porn site.

Wholly, utterly, and demonstrably irrelevant. I live in the hardest-core bible belt in the nation: West Virginia... it doesn't get any nuttier than it is here. That said, I have known thousands of christians and few of those would I characterize as free from the fear of death. And in even those cases the added trouble balancing the lack of fear is the lack of tolerance for those not of the faith, which results in exactly the same problems.

Be all that as it may, until the day Jesus comes a swooping down out of the clouds to lay waste to the evil that has saturated this world, he is utterly irrelevant. Until that day, one that may never come BTW, people must live their lives and if there shall be no divine intervention, then we are going to have to find our own way through this nightmare existence. That is the only thing we can count on right here, right now. All the rest is speculative at best.

In my view, the fact that the video avoided any possible temptation to introduce religious speculation is all to the producer's credit. I don't care what a person believes in terms of religion. Knock yourselves out and be merry with it - just keep it out of my face and those of others who do not subscribe. It is all unprovable and therefore of no relevance in such discussions. It is a private affair between the individual and his maker. Leave it out of the political arena because it does nothing to bolster credibility but much to damage it and to deflect the discussion away from the real questions at hand.

Sure, but that is far more easily said than done. Were it not, I am sure far more people would have done it by now.
