The Smear...

The phrase "presumably by Paul" gets used a lot.

Still, the quotes are pretty vile.

Can anyone bring this to the attention of the people over at Editor & Publisher? They tend to comment on reporting that smacks of being too biased or over the line.

A lot of very bad stuff (although even a cursory glance over things suggests that the author has tried as hard as possible to be biased in his presentation) Ultimately, though, there is no smoking gun connecting Ron Paul to these comments, as the author even acknowledges himself toward the end of the article. For some things the author is really stretching the point.

Nonetheless, there are bad things here and the campaign needs to aggressively denounce some of the sentiments expressed in these newsletters.

/yawn Smear politiking at it's worst.

anyone that buys into this type of crap wouldn't be supporting Ron Paul anyways

Wait? That's it?

A list of passages from Ron Paul's newletter and no proof he actually wrote them? I was expecting some long list of letters and articles written by Paul or something.

This is just more of the same and has been discredited numerous times.

Someone who has the ability to influence the campaign... DEMAND DAMAGE CONTROL NOW!

Hopefully they had something prepped as soon as they saw Tucker last night.

If they didn't, and they don't release something today, well then they fall short of my expectations of competence.

The BEST thing you can do is not click the link .. Its why he posted it .. he knows our internet strength and web hits = $ .. DO NOT GIVE HIM WHAT HE WANTS ..

Does Michael Bloomberg take personal responsibility for everything published / run under the name Bloomberg News?

None of the quotes sound like Ron Paul AT ALL. The best that they can do with regard to Lew Rockwell and the Mises Institute is that they view the government as a "gang of thugs" -- so what? Also, believing in a right to seceded is a sign of being a secret racist? Someone should tell that to the Founding Fathers, the socialists currently advocating for secession by Vermont, and the people of New England who -- during the unpopular War of 1812 -- advocated seceding from the middle and southern states to create the New England Confederacy.

This asshat said on Tucker the website would have the actual newsletters on it.

Where is the documentation? If RP, per this smear article, had over 100,000 people receiving this newsletter, you would think a LOT of people would have come forward with copies now that RP is running for president.

Methinks one or two ghost written newsletters may have had some bad stuff in them, but where is his proof of all this other stuff?

Also, I don't see a "twenty year" pattern here. The fact that the newsletter was out for twenty years and there only seem to possibly be a few bad ghost written pieces works in RP's favor.

This neo-confederate guilt by some lame association through the Von Mises Institute is so lame and such a sretch it shows his other comments are smear comments. Heck, Von Misus was a Jew and Ron Paul idolized the guy.

My take - this admitted Zionist ghoul shill could not find anything, that it was hard to find any copies of this newsletter, so he just made more stuff up because he knew it could not be proven - just like RP writing anything can't be proven.

My take. As a gay, liberal neocon Ghoul Zionist (all self admitted) this punk just hates RP's paleoconservative/libertarian Republican politics in general and he hates the fact that RP wants to cut of economic aide to all countries - which includes Israel.

AND, don't try and paint me as anti-semetic just for pointing out facts and motive. I have many Jewish friends, and this asshat would never be one of them.

isn't it a sad thing that when someone dares to criticise aid to Israel they must assure everyone they are not anti-semitic? The zionist elites (some jews, many not) hide behind the race card like cowards.

And we patriots are attacked for calling people un-american.

That article wasn't worthy of the National Enquirer, yet Drudge has it posted as a red-letter news flash. Journalists used to be guardians of truth. Now they're assassins of it.

Just in time for our best voters (evening voters coming home form work or jsut getting out of bed) to possibly read this.

RP will weather this defamatory storm. Too bad RP, as a public figure, can't sue.

not unless he can prove both malicious intent and a willful disregard for the truth. Unfortunately, the newsletters exist and they went out under Ron Paul's name, so connecting the two will not rise to a level where it's actionable.
