The Revolution's next presidential candidate

Former 2-term Governor Gary "Veto" Johnson (NM). He isn't beholden to the Republican machine, is great on the issues, and has publicly endorsed Dr. Paul. Governors traditionally are the strongest Presidential candidates.

Good idea, Steve! Gary needs to get back in the game.

Probably need to run several of the 50 Congressmen we are putting up. They won't aim to win but to monopolize the debate and boost the one Candidate we are pushing hard. Possibly RP again or someone he appoints :)

Either way he will have a lot of wingmen who can good cop/bad cop the media and submisson.

Exactly, this is what the establishment does, and we need to do it too. We need about 5 - 6 anti-war/freedom candidates seeking the GOP nomination. Which ever one gets the most traction early will become the appointed one, and the other freedom candidates will one by one drop out and endorse the appointed freedom candidate.

I dunno about Mark Sanford, but Sununu is an absolute NO. He's strong on limited government, but he's been lock-step with Bush on foreign policy and civil liberties. He is not a pro-freedom candidate.

Lets put a notice up so people that would like to run on the Ron Paul Platform. Let them know what we could offer to anyone thats wanting to run in 2012. Then lets have each candidate explain why they are wanting to run on the Ron Paul Platform. After that we should have a national straw poll. I think we need to get a little more organized then we are now though, but this could be done.

The reason why they didn't back Ron Paul is because they liked their war, which will not be an issue in 2012.

If we weren't at war right now, do you think Dr. Paul would have done a lot better?

I guess I'm wondering if that was the primary turn off for most Republicans.

Interesting strategy. :D
