The Revolt Against Google ‘Glassholes’.

When 23-year-old Jonathan Gottfried snagged a coveted Google Glass back in spring 2013, he turned into an overnight superstar.

Gottfried says he was “swarmed” by admirers while donning the $1,500 high-tech eyewear that lets you receive notifications instantaneously and take pics and videos hands-free.

“It was this crazy thing,” says the Williamsburg resident who works in tech. “If you imagine what a day in the life of a celebrity is like, it kind of felt like that, just because you have this crazy device on your face.”

But the pressures of fame became too great.

“I stopped wearing them because I got a little bit tired of always being stopped on the street,” explains Gottfried, who still utilizes the device for work purposes. “That’s kind of annoying every day.”

Like it or not, a Google Glass world is finally upon us. And it’s a divided one.

Since its April 2013 rollout, tens of thousands of Google Glass devices have been sold nationwide, says a Google spokesperson who declined to provide specific numbers.

This past April, the headset, which is still in beta form, sold out in 24 hours during Google Glass’ first online sale to the masses. (Previously, Glass was only available to developers or those who grabbed it through special campaigns or connections. A post-beta version will be available by early 2015.)

The pricey gadget promises to revolutionize tasks both mundane (getting directions) and extraordinary (assistance in rare surgeries and real-time foreign translation while abroad). For status seekers, there are even $1,800 Diane von Furstenberg-designed versions now available on net-a-porter.com.

But not everyone is going Glass. Critics argue that the flashy gizmo is both pretentious and intrusive, letting wearers take photos with a simple wink of the eye.

Off Topic for a sec. A couple of years ago, yet another Law was passed that all Cell Phones with Cameras were to make a noise when a picture was being taken. The intent was that Cell Cameras were being used to steal peoples credit card numbers while standing in line to pay for stuff.

Then we move on to Google Glass. Glass has the ability to apply Facial Recognition Technology to everyone within site of its camera. The Facial Recognition tech currently is NOT distributed by Google due to public outcry, but is written as a 3rd Party App, same as can be done for an Android, or even an iPhone. If it can be written, you know someone is going to write it. But along with Facial Recognition, you also get Character Recognition, like that for a Printer / Scanner. Character Recognition allows a computer to translate an image of some text into computer readable text.

Theres an App for that.

In security, there are always Two Sides. Many websites, including this one, are under constant assault by bots. These Bots create phoney accounts that are used to post advertisements. In order to prevent Bots from being able to create an account, many systems apply a "Turing Test" (also known as CAPTCHA) or some method of telling if the operator at the other end is either a Human or a Bot. This was initially done by computer generated images that displayed a series of characters that couldnt be read by a Bot but could be read by a Human. The problem is that Optical Character Recognition technology was so good that it was able to overcome the Security System of the Turing Test.

There was also a period of time when Spam was being sent out in Images. For example, the computer text here that both you and a computer can read that can be copied and pasted was scanned for patterns like "Buy Viagra" or other garbage that is solicited via spam. But putting the words "Buy Viagra" when put into an Image circumvents an Anti Spam Systems ability to scan the text of the email for "Buy Viagra". Thus, Character Recognition was also advanced by Anti Spam Solutions to scan Images for the words "Buy Viagra".

Computers can read this text right here, but without Character Recognition, are NOT able to read the "80% Huge Discount" in this Image:

CAPTCHA (an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart") and Character Recognition became Opposing Technologies.

Security is trying to advance, but often limited by other well intended but opposing technologies. Some security systems are trying to move toward Biometrics. By using something similar to Character Recognition for a users face, a computer would take a picture of a User trying to sign on and decide if that User is the real individual. The bypass for this system is exceptionally simple. Hold up a Photo of the individual for the camera to see and who ever is holding the picture can log right in. This does NOT require any knowledge of hacking what so ever. A password is not required. A computer can not tell the difference between a User and a Photo of a User. So Facial Recognition needed to be advanced. One method is to "teach" the computer to check for "blinks". Also, about as simple to bypass as you could imagine. Have a Tablet? Just hold up a VIDEO of that User. A Video of the User will show the Blinks but a Still Photo wont.

Biometric Security Systems are, in many cases, easier to bypass than previously existing systems, but far more expensive. Even RFID Implants are so easily Clonable that they offer absolutely no protection what so ever. Im skipping ahead in the story as everyone should know that RFID Implants is one goal that is desired by the NWO for Total Control. The point being that all this Surveillance Technology everywhere, not just Google Glass, is enabling a lot of the Security Exploits. I dont expect at all it will stop Google Glass types of technology from becoming commonplace in everyday life, just as both CAPTCHA Bot Checks and Optical Character Recognition technologies have both advanced, although pitted against each other defeat their own purposes.

Then you get the Glassholes. The THIEVING Glassholes. A small percentage of Glassholes will undoubtedly try to use Glass to steal your credit card numbers. Others that are just dickheads will try to take pictures of people in comprimising situations. "Nothing to Hide" has NOTHING to do with Right or Wrong, it has EVERYTHING to do with a Difference of Opinion. Angelina Jolie is now divorced from Billy Bob Thornton and has been for some time. But some Glasshole that snaps a vid of Angelina and Billy Bob talking is a source of Gossip. Apply the Subjective Wrong to other situations. Did you go to the doctor for an annual checkup? Someone gets a video of that and you must have a "Health Crisis" if you are a celebrity, or an STD, or something else your now Mandatory Obamacare can use to jack up your rates. How about if you ride a bike without a fucking Helmet? Illegal for children now (nanny state), but not illegal for adults. None the less, although not currently considered Illegal, it could be deemed as "Risky Behavior" and that will also eventually be used to inflate your Health Care Premiums as much as possible. Those companies are not going to give two shits about the Source of said information as they consider any information they can find about you to be "Public" and claim they have a Right to know. Do you ever drive your car and only have ONE HAND on your steering wheel? Do you ever forget to check your TIRES before getting into your car? Do you ever forget to check ALL YOUR MIRRORS while driving? Forget speeding as that will soon be impossible. But the rest of the things that you do that can ALL be considered "Risky" will ALL be used to jack up your Car Insurance Premiums. Pick your nose while driving? Thats one hand on the Steering Wheel, and will be deemed "Risky".

Theres a county in California where a Law was attempted that would have given the Police direct access to Private CCTV Cameras. Doesnt matter if the bill was shot down or passed, eventually it will become mandatory. All Cameras, even the ones in a persons own home. School Districts that remotely turn on Laptop Cameras to surveil its Users. Most of the software you use on your computer, tablet, and phones now frequently "phone home", not to check for updates, but to report your usage so you can be Data Mined. Cops can turn on your Cell Cameras remotely. XBox One and its Always Online plus its Camera (Kinect) is another source. Smart Meters for Power Usage that can tell "which appliances you have turned on". California (again) with its water shortage is outlawing watering your lawn and washing your car with a hose. Catch you on Camera? They will ALL be used to exploit everyone to the Maximum Degree, and it doesnt require your activity to be deemed "Illegal", but ANY Difference of Opinion. Do you like Peanut Butter more than Chocolate? Yeah, Hersheys is gonna try to charge you more. Any excuse to jack up what you pay.

Much of it starts with the excuse of Public Safety. Red Light Cameras. Automated Money Makers. But lets go a different direction with those Cameras. What happens when the Camera isnt looking for people who run Red Lights or Stop Signs, but Jaywalkers? What happens when they no longer need the Red Light Cameras, but instead, access your GOOGLE GLASSES? What happens when those Private Cameras, exploited to the Nth Degree, dont just target what is Illegal, but ANYTHING deemed as Unsafe? Such as walking with an untied shoelace?

Total Surveillance comes from three places: Government, Corporate, and Private. Govt does what it wants with its own cameras. Did a Cop brutally assault someone? Aw, lost the video. Hard drive crashed. Corporate? Did you spend too much time in the bathroom? That WILL be used against you. Then you get the introduction of Private. Private application of any technology can be used either to Free or Enslave, just as Optical Character Recognition can be both Useful by scanning documents into computer text, or used to bypass CAPTCHAs. If there is money to be made in using access to Private Cameras, rest assured that it WILL happen. When you buy a pair of Google Glasses, go to a sandwich shop, the people you look at will become victims. Not directly by your hand, but by those who have access to what they see through your eyes and Private Cameras. That old man that was in the sandwich shop eating the unhealthy sandwich? That will be used against him, not you.

In this Dark Age of Privacy, anything that can be recorded is being recorded. People put their entire life online. Some tweet literally everything they do. There are even Apps for doing many of these things automatically. They share publicly what music you listen to, what you watch on TV (already through the TVs themselves, oh and your TVs have cameras, Smart TVs / Kinect, etc). Tweeting "Im taking a dump". Internet Ready Toothbrushes (yes, they exist too) will eventually Punish people who do not brush as much as they are told to. Did you let your water run while you brushed your teeth? Water Abuse by California, and eventually you will be fined for it.

We are the Enablers of the Death of Privacy. We are the ones that carry our own Chains of Enslavement. We will be required to be monitored and surveilled every second of every day. Employers that think they can fire anyone for any reason have already extended beyond the workplace by Drug Checks. Thats old. The new thing is to fire employees for non illegal things they do at home. And it will be enabled by Total Surveillance. So not only will you have to completely comply with all things Govt and all their Fines, Fees, and Penalties, but disobedience to your Employer will not be tolerated by ANY degree. Much of this will be enabled by people who embrace the Privacy Invasive technology. Your Refrigerator will be Internet Ready. What happens when you have an excess of Bacon in your Refrigerator? Bacon isnt illegal (yet), but will become a Difference of Opinion, and Bacon is deemed "Unhealthy" for many.

My mother used to tell me that if I couldnt say anything nice, dont say anything at all. But what happens when it becomes literally impossible for a person to hold those things back? Roughly 90% of human to human communication is Non Verbal. You dont have to flat out say "I am Jaywalking with my Shoes Untied" to be interpreted as a Risky Behavior and those consequences should now be obvious. When your private opinion is no longer private, who will come after you because of that Difference of Opinion? I think that guy is a total jerk. I never say it, but when they can just search for "Does so and so think Im a dick?" that person will try to put you in your place. It is the potential to start a fight that starts fights.

When something is truly yours, you have control over how it is used. You have a hammer, and can either use that hammer to do construction, pound nails, or hit someone in the head with it. Do you know how many people are assaulted by hammers every year? The number exceeds Gun Deaths. You decide how to use that Hammer. But if someone has access to your tools, you cant really fully control how that tool is used. If you have a pair of Google Glasses, you could use them in a manner that is useful to you. But since you are not the only one who has access to what you see, you can not control either how your tool is used or what it is used for. People will find benefits for using Google Glass, just as Governments will find benefits from also having access to your Google Glass, and what they will use your Google Glasses for may just as easily be used to identify ANY and ALL Differences of Opinion.

The Difference of Opinion is the Ultimate Source of Conflict.

Information can be both Objective and Subjective. Objective information is interpreted the same way from most points of view. There is a dish on the table. Objective does not consider whether or not a dish being on a table is Good or Bad. Subjective is the application of the opinion if something is either Good or Bad. And many times these are in conflict: Good for them, Bad for you. A Difference of Opinion. There is money to be made comes from the Subjective Information, the Difference of Opinion. Conflict of any form validates the existence of the State. And the more Conflicts that can be identified, the more the States existence is validated. Any Subjective Information becomes the Source of Conflict. Just as Central Banks have financially benefitted from funding two Nations going to War, the cause of that War is a Difference of Opinion that escalates into violence that required funding for those wars to be fought. The Real Winner of those Wars is always the Central Banks, and the Losers are any who participated or were involved in those Wars.

Our technology today has enabled the Microtransaction, and it can be just as profitable for those who have access to all this data, they can financially benefit from the Microconflict. Just as in the movie Demolition Man, when a "bad word" was uttered, a Microfine was issued automatically. A violation of the Verbal Morality Code. Now, what happens when it is NOT a form of monitoring that was put in place and paid for and maintained by an Authority (Govt or Corporate) but your own privately owned Google Glasses that is used to surveil everyone else and issue them Microfines for every Micro-infraction?

Welcome to the Future, and the Future is FAIL.
