The Republican poll nightmare that is Donald Trump, in four charts

Other people getting in the race. Nationally, it's around 6 right now, but his real number there I believe is closer to 7 or 8. Iowa and NH he's been fairly consistent, staying around around 9 all year and always in the top 3 or 4. After NH, there should only be 6-8 candidates left. As candidates drop out, (depending on who they are) Rand should pick up some of their support.

The media will likely keep him in the 9% or less range, FU Frank taught them how to poll. Imo Bush is a red herring for tptb pick and Trump is the distraction Santorum has been playing in the past. The shell game will be played, keeping the marginally interested public thinking there is some competition occurring when the actual dark horse candidate is revealed and wins. Wash, rinse, repeat...

The master plan isn't paying off. Sounding like a milquetoast moderate isn't working out for him.

And then Rand makes backhanded comments at Trump yesterday. Instead of riding the wave, he's denouncing it. I'm exasperated by this campaign and the Gary Johnson like manner it's being run.

Gary Johnson comparison seems spot on.

Eschewing his father's legacy to sound like another one of the gang has been terrible strategy up until this point. When he won't stick his neck out and fight for us, why should we fight for Rand? He's seemingly the first to capitulate and spew the PC bullshit these days.

All he had to do was tone down his father's rhetoric on a few key things like drugs and foreign policy. Instead, he tried to be everything for everyone. It's hard to be optimistic about his prospects moving forward.

People aren't dumb. They can smell weakness and capitulation. If Rand made a concerted stand with Trump on a few of these crucial issues that align with his worldview, his numbers would likely skyrocket. Obviously, he can point out that he is the more complete choice in the long run, but Trump is tapping into something that is not going away anytime soon.

I mention those three, Paul, Carson and Fiorina, because I believe they are the only well intentioned candidates in the race. Americans do not elect well intentioned or honest candidates.

Either way, it's time to seriously consider migrating to another country... The U.S. is pretty much gone.

Fiorina? Somewhere, Bill Kristol is smiling...
