The pause continues – Still no global warming for 17 years 9 months

When I counted, I only came up with 66 of the 119 points on that chart being "above normal". What am I missing?

Average is different from normal. A cold temp point below the average can still be above normal for that time of the year.

Regardless the trendline for the last 17 yrs says there no warming observed.
