McCain and Romney were literally nothing more than fall guys for Obama. At no point did you ever get the sense they were trying to win. Trump getting elected in 2016 was nothing more than a ruse to make people think they actually had the power to decide who becomes president. He was the fall guy in 2020, and he will be yet again in 2024.
