The Official Texas Results Thread

I was skeptical of it being rigged but I have to say checking Google Election as they come in I would not be surprised considering the oddities and coincidences. Like Santorum and Paul getting exactly the same number of votes in several counties and then Bachman/Romney getting equal votes in that one county.

This is typically because someone put in the wrong information somewhere down the line, like in the Bachman/Romney example you gave.

How did Ron win his own district for Congress but in his district running for President Most are voting for Obama 2.0?
Sorry, it does not compute

Most people there think that Ron has no chance anymore or even dropped out, so most think there is no point anymore voting for Paul. And they like Romney more than Obama and vote for him in order to give him better chances in November.

so the election result site says these 400k are all early votes... I don't know if I believe this.

119/8779 precincts, so these are the early votes? Hope they have enough fingers and toes to count the ballots

Some good news. Stockman is leading in tx-36 and forum member/Paul support John Strickland is leading his state house race.

I do not see it now, could be the way I was rolling over the counties on the map made it look that way.

I've noticed on the TX SOS site that it seems the better Paul does the better Dewhurst does, and when Paul goes down Cruz goes up. Strange.

If you see something strange, make screen shots. We can analyze later.

Some precint and county results will be corrected during the night, thats always the case during elections. I expect this to happen in Lamar county for example.

Either that or there is there is some voter fraud going on.

I finally see some non-early votes coming in. but it looks like 450k + are classified as early. odd.

i agree I bet your avg voter thinks RP dropped out.... It's RP vs. Romney... why would RP be getting vote totals closer to other candidates that have dropped out than the 1 other guy the MSM says is still in the race?

I kind wish if a candidate dropped out they would drop them off the ballot.

CNN says 43% of votes are in (not based on precints but on numbers) and Paul has 56,799 votes. In 2008 he had 66,360 votes (4,9%) in early March.

1. We don't know which precincts these are, could be in places where most of those who are going to vote vote early.

2. We had about 2 weeks of early voting here, just about everyone I know who voted ... voted early.

3. Didn't about half of Florida's votes come early/absentee?

4. Again, the metrops haven't reported. Most of the state's R voters come from Harris County.
