It should have been a circle jerk with Paul Ryan doing non stop powerpoint presentations on how many fractions of a percent his budget plan was going to outpace Clinton's. I mean non stop for the whole week.

You know... Maybe at least something inspiring about where they plan to take the country. But no - they're not even talking about anything remotely like that.

Seriously, most of these conventions suck, but this one really, really sucks! I thought 2008 was bad.

The convention has been B+. Trump' wife ripped off a speech a gay white lobbyist probably wrote for Michelle Obaam.

Other speeches.

Mike Lee coming alive and shouting.

I thought this was a great convention. I liked the content of Jeff Sessions speech the best.

"Donald Trump Jr’s Speech Was Also Cribbed"
The Trump campaign spent most of the day trying to explain why large chunks of Melania Trump’s speech were lifted from Michelle Obama’s address to the 2008 Democratic convention.

Now, Donald Trump Jr. faces similar accusations regarding a portion of his speech. A passage on education reform, first flagged by the Daily Show’s Twitter account, appears to be lifted from a May article in the American Conservative.

Trump Jr. said: “Our schools used to be an elevator to the middle class. Now they’re stalled on the ground floor. They’re like Soviet department stores run for the benefit of the clerks and not the customers…”

Compare that to the article in the American Conservative by F.H. Buckley: “What should be an elevator to the upper class is stalled on the ground floor…Our schools and universities are like the old Soviet department stores whose mission was to serve the interests of the sales clerks and not the customers.”

Trump forces the mainstream press to really lose their bearings.

Not sure I'd point to the "high times" of the GOP with the President that declared war against his own people and instituted martial law, which has never been formally rescinded. But you already knew that....

Only 600,000+ people died, and just 50,000+ in three days at Gettysburg...
